One day after they tied the knot in a required civil ceremony Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock have said 'I Do' again during a magnificent religious ceremony.

Wearing a stunning Armani gown, the former Olympic swimmer wowed the 850 guests attending the service held in the courtyard of the Prince's Palace.

Standing before the Archbishop of Monaco the pair exchanged Cartier rings and listened to readings by the Prince's nieces before walking back up the aisle as husband and wife.

There's a new princess in town!

Prince Albert has married his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock, who is now officially Princess Charlene.

Wearing a sky-blue jacket and skirt, 33-year-old Princess Charlene smiled as she said "I do" in the civil ceremony in the throne room of the Royal Palace in Monaco.

Controversial Prince Albert of Monaco is set to marry his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock.

The couple will wed in a 40 minute civil ceremony at the Royal Palace Friday before having a more public Catholic church service in Monte Carlo on Saturday in celebrations that are costing an estimated $90 million.

The couple will exchange vows before a star-studded guest list which will include Naomi Campbell, Karl Lagerfield, Roger Moore and French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

With an inherited engagement ring and a low-key honeymoon in the UK's Isles of Scilly, Prince William and Kate Middleton are trying to stick to a relatively 'tight' budget for their royal nuptials on April 29th, but other royal couples have broken the bank with their grand affairs over the years.

In a sharp contrast, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer's $6.5 million wedding at St Paul's Cathedral reflected the over-spending of the opulent 80's. Di's now recycled sapphire and diamond engagement ring cost $65,000, while her dramatic David Emmanuel gown was made of silk taffeta and antique lace, with a 25-foot train.
