Primping And Pampering: MTV Gifting Lounges

The MTV Movie Awards are this Sunday in Los Angeles which means gifting lounges are in full effect around the city.
Stars are shuttling between luxury hotels, getting gifted and pampered along the way. A favorite stop was Kari Feinstein’s annual extravaganza - held poolside at the ultra-exclusive Montage Hotel.
The It-list of young Hollywood came out to enjoy the sun and pick up all the latest and greatest in everything from skin care to travel. Ashley Greene, Anna-Lynne McCord, Nikki Hilton, Joe Jonas and more sipped 50 calorie smoothies from Yogen-Fruz, picked up vacation vouchers to the Sedona Rouge Hotel, got their bling on with Jewels by Park Lane and much much more. But it wasn’t all about taking! The stars were able to give back when they stopped by the Cesar Lounge inside the suite. For every visit Cesar donated 200 cans of dog food. The Cesar lounge was so popular Entourage’s Kevin Dilllon and Connelly that is took a quick break filming nearby to rush to the event in order to bump up Cesar’s charity contribution. The giving didn’t stop there - proceeds form the event benefited the Creative Coalition, a non-profit aimed at increasing social change.
Gifting Suites Go To The Dogs

Celebs get to go to gifting suites all the time, so why not their dogs? This weekend, Cesar pet food hosted a glamorous Silver Spoon Dog suite, for the four-legged kind.
Stars such as Amy Smart, Beverly Mitchell, Josh Sussman from Glee, Derek Theler, Cassie Scerbo and boyfriend Cody Longo, Evan Handler, Isaiah Mustafa (the Old Spice guy), the Mayor's girlfriend Lu Parker, Joe Manganiello who came by with his girlfriend and small dog, Susie Castillo (Miss USA), Taylor Sreitier (Days of our Lives) and Katie Cecil of all-girls group KMS, all came out to treat their doggies. And, while they were expected to attend in person, Tori & Dean sent their assistant to come and pick up some great Cesar goodies for their small dogs - as they were a little busy renewing their vows.

Some entrees were customized with your pup’s mug, which pretty much guaranteed that they won’t get eaten!
And it was heartening to discover how many of the pooches were rescues, like Mackenzie Phillips who came with her one-eyed rescue Chihuahua.
For the record, we have three rascally, rescue daschunds, who now think that gifting suites for dogs is a grrrrrr…eat idea!

One of the best pre-Grammy parties had to be the KIIS Fm gifting suite, just in celebs alone. Our favorite video blogger, Jason Derulo said “Hey!” and scooped up some Rock Revival Jeans, a Deuce watch, Junk Food t-shirt, and some Fierce fashion.

Adam Lambert was gifted by Ed Hardy, who had the coolest pink and purple watches, while Ludacris caught up with Colbie Caillat and Katherine McPhee. Getchen Rossi (Bravo’s Real Housewives of OC) gracefully accepted the CellCeuticals skin line from a gorgeous rep, Anne-Marie, who is the best advertisement for the line. Chris Harrison (host of ABC’s The Bachelor) hung with the stars and good-natured fielded questions about the backstage drama on the show.
Teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber, stated "I love nothing more than sneakers" while scoping out the latest line from Macbeth Shoes at the KISS FM & Star 98.7 Grammy gift lounge.
Rock sensations, One Republic, picked up a few pairs of Macbeth sneakers for wearing on stage. Allison Iraheta of American Idol showed her shoe-love by picking up some kicks from from Blowfish Shoes.

Swag Suites At Sundance: Who Got What

The Sundance Film Festival wouldn’t be complete without the swag suites, where the stars stock up on free gear and goodies. As the celebrities depart from snowy Park City loaded with new products and toys, let’s break down who took what home.
At the Talent Resources Sky Suite, Jon Gosselin picked up an AMC Theatres Premiere pass, valid for two movie passes a day for a full year, some UrbanEars headphones, Axe shower gel and fragrances and Perky Jerky – beef jerky infused with guarana for energy – which was likened to eating a beef flavored can of Redbull, by one of their marketing executives. But not all celebs thru the door were as greedy: Runaways stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart skipped most of the booths and instead signed a limited edition Burton snowboard, which will later be auctioned off for the American Red Cross to help support relief efforts in Haiti.

At the Fred Segal Fun lounge, stars like Jessica Alba and Marisa Tomei went to great lengths to avoid the public. “Jessica came after the suite closed,” a spy shared with RadarOnline.com. “She didn’t want to deal with the media or the crowds, so she showed up very late and modestly pulled only two bags of stuff” from vendors such as Charlotte Ronson. Tomei “really wanted her swag, but hid in a corner and sent her assistant to pull Emu boots and jewelry and bring them to her to try on. “She kept peeking her head around the corner to tell her assistant which vendors to go to next,” said our witness. Lil John and his entourage were the opposite; they stayed for two hours, picked up hoodies and jackets from Parish Nation and KR3W, and even did shots at the bar.

Above TAO Lounge at The Lift, the Lia Sophia gifting suite loaded up stars like America Ferrera, Edie Falco and Shane West with jewelry, Diesel watches and sunglasses and Under Armor jackets and hats. “America didn’t want to take pictures with most of the products,” laughed our spy. “She’d look to her publicist who would politely say that America couldn’t be shot with her swag.” Pregnant Amanda Peet wasn’t feeling very photogenic either when she dropped by the Conair Styling Suite to pick up a bag of hair products and dryers.

The best spot for free stuff? The MySpace café at The Lift which fed anyone with a pass for free. But they also allow fans to gather right outside the diner’s doors and “Holy Rollers” star Justin Bartha encountered some brazen fans after a meal there. Bartha, who dates Ashley Olsen, was asked by one loitering admirer, “Can I date your girlfriend’s sister?” to which he laughed and said “No!"
