Calling himself “just a regular guy,” Chaz Bono appeared live on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday in wake of stinging criticism that he should not be allowed to appear on Dancing with the Stars’ new season because he’s transgendered.

Bono, 42, said he hasn’t been paying that much attention to the controversy and that he’s been focused on dancing and said it’s a “much bigger deal to everyone else than it is to me.”

The only child of Cher and the late Sonny Bono told  GMA’s George Stephanopoulos: “I’m just a regular guy. All these ideas that children shouldn’t  watch me that I’m going to be confusing, all of this stuff, it’s crazy and for all of the kids and teens out there with gender dysphoria, I think it’s going to have a really positive impact. I know that if, when I was growing up, I would have seen someone like me on a show like this, it would have made all the difference in the world in my life.”

Robin Roberts is used to reporting the news as co-anchor of Good Morning America. Today she was the news, when it was announced Roberts is one of six new inductees into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Roberts was a standout on the Southeastern Louisiana University basketball team prior to her 1983 cum laude graduation.

She went on to report sports for ESPN before ABC moved her over to GMA where she became a superstar.

At 5'10", the affable Roberts towers over her co-anchor, 5'6" George Stephanopoulos.  This new honor will give him one more reason to look up to her.

Fired CNN anchorman Rick Sanchez broke his silence Friday in his first live TV interview on Good Morning America, saying "It's tough, I screwed up", when he made derogatory remarks about The Daily Show's Jon Stewart.

Sanchez - sitting down with GMA host George Stephanopoulos - blamed his inflammatory comments on exhaustion. "I was tired... I was working 14 hour days for two and a half months. I was exhausted." He then added, "My daughter had a softball game that I desperately wanted to go to and I was a little impatient... and I said some thing that I shouldn't have said... they were wrong... not only were they wrong, they were offensive."
