Two years before director Brett Ratner used a gay slur during an interview -- with the comment costing him his gig producing the upcoming Academy Awards -- Quentin Tarantino did the same thing!

Winding up the crowd at a midnight premiere for his 2009 movie Inglourious Basterds, Tarantino said, "It's good to see you bad-ass Thursday motherf**kers here! Not those Friday fa***ts, you're here at 12!"

A video from the evening was uncovered by Moviefone.com with the site noting that Tarantino's bombastic insensitivity didn't cause a stir at the time.

Inglourious Basterds, starring Brad Pitt, went on to be Tarantino's most successful movie ever, and earned eight Oscar nominations.

Last week, Ratner realized the firestorm he'd caused by using the term "fa*" and resigned as the Oscar producer. His buddy Eddie Murphy, who'd been booked to host the show, pulled out the next day.

He's been replaced by Billy Crystal, a veteran of eight previous Oscar hosting assignments.

Hockey player Wayne Simmonds allegedly made a shocking anti-gay slur against rival player Sean Avery during a pre-season game on Monday night, and now the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is demanding that the NHL make a stand against the homophobic comments.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the ugly epithet was uttered to New York Rangers star Avery by the Flyers player while he was on the ice near the Philadelphia team's bench, and the hateful interaction was caught on video.

Despite the video evidence and the media attention around the comment, the National Hockey League has yet to take action against Simmonds, and GLAAD is calling for the league to take responsibility.

30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is being accused of launching into an ugly homophobic rant during a recent stand-up routine.

Stories are circulating on the internet that during a performance at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee last Friday, Morgan allegedly said that homosexuality was ‘bullsh*t’ and said that if his son said that he was gay he would “pull out a knife and stab that little n*gger to death.”

Kevin Rogers -- who says he was in the audience with his partner and a friend -- wrote about the incident on Facebook, insisting: ‘The sad thing is that none of this rant was a joke.  His entire demeanor changed during that portion of the night. He was truly filled with some hate towards us.”

The powerful group GLAAD ( The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation)  is investigating reports that 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan unleashed a vulgar anti-gay tirade during a stand-up show in Nashville, Tennessee last week.

In a statement Friday, GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios said: “Tracy Morgan’s management needs to investigate these allegations and should they prove true, we call on him to remove these violently anti-gay remarks from his show and send a strong message that anti-gay violence is not something to joke about.”

Teen Mom star Gary Shirley used the word “gay” to express anger on his Twitter account, and paid the consequences with a barrage of messages from displeased followers.

“So p***ed lost my phone today so got A. find it or B. get a new one or C. activate the gay ass droid...ughh sorry for any droid lovers,” Gary tweeted in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
