Green Day brings a lot more with them on the road than just roadies: the band will be accompanied by a traveling art gallery, composed of original pieces inspired by music from the band's most recent release, 21st Century Breakdown.

"We are really excited to be touring with this incredible show," Green Day front-man Armstrong said. "Seeing the pieces that our new album has inspired is very exciting. We feel a strong connection to that type of creative expression; we think the fans coming out to see us on the road will love it."

Victoria Beckham: The Human Billboard

Posted on Jul 27, 2009 @ 08:28AM - Add a comment
DNP Random Things

Fashion houses pay millions of dollars a year for billboard space and spend oodles of money on advertising agencies and public relations firms to push their product. Spice Girl turned Fashionista and designer Victoria Beckham has figured out the best way to self-promote -- wear your own label, all the time, everywhere you go.

Forget sporting her usual Balmain jackets and couture getups, after shooting her Fall 2009 ad campaign last week, Mrs. Beckham has been snapped by paps exclusively donning her own Victoria Beckham collection while out on the town and in press-flooded airports this past weekend.

Click here to see more of Victoria's fashionably fabulous style!

No doubt the mini frocks are fab -- The designer's Victoria Beckham runway navy mini-dress complete with an embellished front panel works perfectly with
her trademark black Birkin and YSL Trib Two heels for the airport. Better yet, the fashion-savvy lady's high-collared black Briseux silk mini is fitting for dinner with fellow designer Marc Jacobs. Let's hope her shameless (yet stylish) self-promotion makes her "Victoria Beckham" line more of a success than her failed "DVB" denim line.

Ten Years Later: Star Stylist Recalls JFK JR's Trademark Man-Chic Style

Posted on Jul 16, 2009 @ 08:15AM - Add a comment
Remembering John F. Kennedy, Jr.

John F. Kennedy Jr., who tragically died ten years ago today, was a man that women loved and men admired for his good looks, charm and impeccable man-chic style.

Whether snapped in a tuxedo at a black-tie society affair; or a jacket and cuffed pants crossing the Big Apple on his bicycle; or his trademark preppy get-ups at the beach, by the boat, or toying with his plane -- John-John's fashion was second to none of any male style icon.

Celebrity Stylist Phillip Bloch met JFK Jr. shooting a cover for his magazine George at Barbara Streisand's house "just before he passed away." Recalling his style Phillip tells us, "He was so at ease, his personality and style matched."

"He was wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans, but he was elegant and chic," Bloch said, noting the second generation hunk's "tall and statuesque" physique.

Although Bloch admits, "I usually go for the brothas myself, but when [JFK JR] walked in the room I just went,' 'Ooh that man is gorgeous."
