Jodie Sweetin got the best birthday gift she could of ever hoped for on Tuesday – an engagement ring from her boyfriend, Morty Coyle.
Coyle presented the former Full House star with a gorgeous 2½-carat oval sapphire ring, surrounded by 18 diamonds in a snowflake shape, at her 29th birthday party last night at the Kibitz Room in LA.

It's been a whirlwind courtship for Sweetin and Coyle, with the ink barely dry on her divorce papers from her second husband, Cody Herpin - it was finalized April 20th. The couple has a 2-year-old daughter together called Zoie.
The National Enquirer reports that Herpin is furious at Sweetin having another baby so soon, quoting him, “Raising a child takes a lot of time and patience. Jodie hasn’t put in nearly enough time with our own daughter. And now she’s having another child!”
Sweetin Has Cocaine Relapse
In 2008, Herpin accused Sweetin of drunk driving with her baby daughter in the car with her. Herpin subsequently took Sweetin to court, where a judge temporarily ruled she must have one of her parents with her whenever she takes Zoie from the suburban home they all share.
Herpin claims he only learned of Sweetin's latest pregnancy during the finalization of their recent divorce. “I find it hard to believe Jodie will keep up her sobriety with the choices she keeps making,” he said. “To have a child with somebody is no small thing.

Jodie Sweetin has had a tumultuous year—in a good way.
Her daughter Zoie is 20 months old, she’s promoting a book, and at 27 years old, is celebrating her first full year clean and sober.

“It’s gone by quick,” Sweetin told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I really had to change some big things in my life and analyze some of my behaviors. Knowing that I didn’t want to be an alcoholic mom to my daughter was probably the biggest factor.”
In her new book, Unsweetined, the former star of Full House talks candidly about her addictions to alcohol and drugs, specifically cocaine and meth. She grew up the adopted daughter of sober parents. When she was nine, they told her the truth about her biological parents and their history of addiction.

“Knowing that that was my biological history made me think, is this my destiny? Is this who I’m destined to be?” she said.
For anyone who grew up watching Full House, Sweetin played loveable middle daughter Stephanie Tanner. It was the good-girl, sweet tempered character that Jodie says made things difficult for her once she left the set.

“I was the girl who was always like, ‘I’m going to show you how much I’m NOT like Stephanie,” Jodie said. “So I would always drink more or use more than everyone else to prove how different I was.”

When asked what she plans to tell her daughter when she’s old enough to read the book and question her mother’s actions, Jodie laughed, “She’s not leaving the house until she’s 13! I’m going to get one of those ankle monitors for her….no, no, I’m just kidding. I just want her to know that I made mistakes but I’m now an example of a sober mom….I’m a completely different person now.”

John Stamos is the latest celebrity to be the target of an extortion plot by two Michigan residents who threatened to release compromising photos of the actor unless they were given almost $700,000, according to a report by TheSmokingGun.com.
The alleged extortionists, Allison Coss and Scott Sippola, were arrested Wednesday, December 2 at a Marquette, Michigan airport, and after a search of their home FBI agents recovered three photos of “Mr. X,” a piece of paper which contained Stamos’ cell phone number and a piece of paper with tabloid magazine phone numbers. The Smoking Gun identified Mr. X as John Stamos.

Stamos, known fondly as Uncle Jesse to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen on Full House is currently appearing in Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway. The FBI affidavit said that Stamos, referred to as Mr. X, attended a party with Coss and her friend in 2004 and “photographs of him were taken,” which were the basis for the extortion plot. John and Allison continued to communicate via email, but last month he received an email from Brian L who claimed to have found the pictures and demanded $680,000 to keep the pictures from being released to the media since they were “cause harm to Mr. X’s reputation.” Stamos’ lawyer contacted the FBI and they hatch the undercover sting operation.

An FBI agent posing as a rep for “Mr. X” arranged a money drop with “Brian L” at the Princeton, Michigan airport and Coss and Sippola were arrested. According to The Smoking Gun, the two were released on bond on December 3 and were ordered to have not contact with “the alleged victim.”
