Ask Kevin Bacon about whether he'd like to have a cameo in the upcoming Footloose remake and the actor gives a surprising answer.
"You know, no one's ever spoken to me about it. Never say never, but... who knows."
In a new interview with PopEater.com, Bacon talks candidly about revisiting that career changing film, and his latest, My One and Only, co-starring Renee Zellweger. It's a period piece set in the 1950s and Bacon plays a philandering husband. Aside from Footloose, which he made when he was just 26, Bacon's resume has included a bevy of hardened bad boy roles (think A Few Good Men, Wild Things, Mystic River).

Chace Crawford, the handsome Gossip Girl star who is slated to star in the Footloose remake, was named the hottest bachelor of the year by People Magazine Wednesday.
The charming Crawford gave the magazine some insight as to why he remains a bachelor.
"I'm not not looking for a girlfriend - but I'm not particularly looking for a girlfriend, either," he told the magazine. "I'm not knocking having a relationship; at the end of the day, you want to share with someone. But I just look at it as, I have the rest of my life to do that. I'm not in any rush."
Actress Lori Petty Busted for DUI

RadarOnline.com has confirmed A League of Their Own star Lori Petty was busted Saturday night in Venice Beach, CA, for felony DUI.
The actress struck a 14-year-old boy on a skateboard with her car. Both Petty and the unidentified boy were given medical treatment and released on the scene. Petty was arrested and taken to Van Nuys Jail.
She was released at 6:48 a.m. Sunday morning on $100,000 bail.
Petty, last seen on Fox's Prisonbreak, is due in court June 25 for arraignment.

Yes, Chace Crawford is taking over for Zac Efron in the upcoming re-make of Footloose. Is this the dramatic beginning to a heartthrob dance-off? The Gossip Girl star recently spoke up about the switch which lead us to wonder what Efron thought of the replacement:
“I've always thought Footloose was a great project and Chace is an amazing choice,”’ he told RadarOnline.com. “I can't wait to see it!”
"I know Zac and we're actually friends," Crawford had told EW.com on Thursday. "He's gotta make the best choice for his career at this point and I have to make the best for mine and luckily it worked out for both of us." Crawford stepped into Efron’s dancing shoes when he decided he wanted to go another direction with his next project.
The updated spin on the 1984 hit will start filming next March.

In a move that has reportedly shocked movie execs, Zac Efron, fearful of a typecasting stigma at Henry Winkler or Mark Hamill-esque levels, has pulled out of a Paramount's planned Footloose remake.
