Sister Hazel's Release Shoots To Top Of iTunes On First Day

Florida rockers Sister Hazel Tuesday made an immediate impact with their brand new seventh disc, Release, which shot up to the top spot on iTunes rock charts, and eighth overall, in its very first day on the market.
Wrote the band on its Web site: "This band has the greatest fans in the world, a heartfelt "THANK YOU" goes out to everyone who has picked up the new album!"
The group has been playing together for 15 years; it is named after Sister Hazel Williams, a nun who set up a homeless shelter in their native Florida.
In tandem with the album, the band has a 25-date, East Coast tour planned.

Just one night after winning the BET award for Best Female R&B Video of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” Sasha Fierce was all the way across the country putting on an energetic show that proves why she’s one of today’s top performers. And while that’s no surprise to her fans, there was one surprise when well into the show she was singing her hit “Put a Ring On It” and suddenly stopped. The stage lights went out until Beyonce said, “I need a light” and she was illuminated with a spotlight.

Ace TV pitchman Billy Mays, who died in his sleep Sunday at 50, described his experience on a turbulent U.S. Air flight to Tampa Bay's Fox affiliate Saturday, just a day prior to his surprising death.
"We're very fortunate to be here ... glad to be back on solid ground," Mays, clad in a brown-striped polo shirt told the station, following the flight from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Odessa, Florida.
According to reports, the flight abruptly ended when the plane's front tires were blown, and the aircraft skidded to a grinding halt.
