New Mexico University women's soccer defender Elizabeth Lambert said she "deeply regrets" the physical, nasty style of play she displayed on ESPN's national stage during her team's 1-0 loss to Brigham Young University earlier this month.

“I still deeply regret it and will always regret it and will carry it through the rest of my life not to retaliate,” she told the New York Times Tuesday of the November 5 game, which prompted school officials to indefinitely suspend her. “I look at it and I’m like, ‘That is not me.' I have so much regret. I can’t believe I did that.”

Pittsburgh Steelers tough man Hines Ward recently won a peer-conducted poll giving him the title of "dirtiest player in the NFL," but the 6-foot, 204-pound wide receiver looks like a choir boy next to New Mexico University women's soccer defender Elizabeth Lambert.

Lambert's aggressive, dirty play was displayed on ESPN's national stage during her team's 1-0 loss Thursday night to Brigham Young University, and the results -- unlike her -- weren't pretty.

EXCLUSIVE: ESPN'S Steve Phillips Mistress' Tips For Getting Ahead In the Workplace

DNP Random Things

Maybe she thought she was networking.

Brooke Hundley created national headlines recently when her affair with married baseball analyst Steve Phillips cost both of them their jobs at the sports network and grabbed headlines when news of her harassment toward his family became public. But RadarOnline.com has obtained some career tips for getting ahead in the workplace that Hundley wrote -- tips that include the value of networking! And yes, these tips are seen in a brand new light considering recent events.

ESPN's Steve Phillips Fired Amid "Fatal Attraction" Scandal

Hundley sent them via a letter to her former dean at the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in New York. Hundley wrote the how-to-get-ahead advice in April 2007 after she attended the International Radio and Television Society's annual two-day career workshop and job fair.

Her advice:
- "Networking is not sucking up"
- "Appearance matters ... So put your best stuff first and make an
impression that counts, it may ultimately determine a job offer."
- "You only get one chance to shine, so make sure you're ready for it."

After their brief relationship ended this summer, Hundley contacted Phillips' sixteen-year old son on Facebook, damaged Phillips’ home, and contacted his wife, giving her a letter containing graphic details of her affair with the analyst.

Rush Limbaugh Is Tackled Off Field By NFL Players

DNP Random Things

Rush Limbaugh wants to own an NFL team.  The St. Louis Rams to be exact.  But the NFL players union is saying No Way to the controversial radio host.

Limbaugh and a business partner are among six bidders for the Rams.  That brought out a letter from the executive director of the players union, DeMaurice Smith.

Rush Compared Barack Obama To A Monkey

In his letter, Smith wrote: "Sport in America is at its best when it unifies, gives us all reason to cheer.....our sport does exactly that when it overcomes division and rejects discrimination and hatred."

Missouri-native Limbaugh didn't exactly do that when, as an ESPN commentator in 2003 he said that Donovan McNabb didn't deserve to be the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.  He'd gotten the job, Limbaugh said, because the NFL was trying to show "a little social concern" and that the media was "desirous that a black quarterback do well."  In reality, Limbaugh said, "There is little hope invested in McNabb."

For the record, McNabb -- who has also become a superstar with TV commercial deals -- is still the Eagles QB and led the team Sunday to a 33-14 win over Tampa Bay.

High profile star players like Tony Romo and Reggie Bush have not yet chimed in on the Limbaugh debate.
