The Cooking Channel Announces What's Cookin' In 2010

Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse and a cadre of other talented chefs will have instructional programs for the Cooking Channel this year, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Other notable culinary masters on the channel will be Chuck Hughes, Ching-He Huang, Roger Mooking, David Rocco, Rachel Allen and Laura Calder, according to the channel.
Food Network’s Sizzling Spring:
The TV chefs will "invent outrageous solutions to their culinary cravings, learn the secrets behind their favorite foods, visit the world’s most extreme restaurants" on the programs slated to roll out in 2010.
Said the Cooking Channel's Michael Smith: “The goal is to satisfy their craving for more information, rich experiences, tantalizing ideas, and a total immersion into the world of cooking and eating through this lineup of inspiring, entertaining and informational shows.”

Conan O'Brien went straight for the moms during his opening monologue on Tuesday night's show, blasting Jon & Kate Plus 8's Kate Gosselin and also taking a shot at Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman.

Touching on the 100th episode of the TLC show which had chef Emeril Lagasse cooking for the Gosselins, O'Brien joked: "Things got a little tense. Kate asked Emeril how to make chicken cacciatore and Jon asked Emeril how to make a b---h shut up."

Although advertising all week long has been touting the 100th episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, everyone's favorite embattled couple have experienced yet another ratings dip.
Losing even more momentum from the phenomenal nearly 10 million viewers that tuned in for the season premiere, last night's 9:30 p.m. averaged 4.3 million people.
While the number is a dramatic upswing from last season (when infidelity rumors weren't plaguing the Gosselin house), it lost nearly 1.6 million viewers form the same time last week.
While the couple's eight kids got to kick up their in-home cuisine a notch with a visit from Emeril Lagasse during the hour of new episodes, is the audience losing its bite for their parents?

Kate Gosselin, perhaps a little territorial because there were too many cooks in her kitchen, swatted guest host/celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse with a violet spatula on her show Monday.
Monday's milestone episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 -- the family's 100th episode of the hit TLC show -- had a little extra spice, courtesy of the celebrity chef.
