You can cross Adam Sandler's name off the list of possible Oscar hosts since Eddie Murphy dropped out Wednesday.
Sandler, speaking with On Air With Ryan Seacrest Thursday, said he’s got no interest following in the footsteps of funnymen such as Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, Steve Martin and Billy Crystal in presiding over the biggest night in show business.

America’s Got Talent – but soon, it won’t have Piers Morgan.
Morgan, 46, announced Wednesday on Piers Morgan Tonight that he was leaving the popular NBC talent show to focus on his CNN talk show.
In a reference to Eddie Murphy pulling out as the host of the Oscars, Morgan began his announcement by saying, “Well, members of the Academy, I’m available…”

He may be hosting next year's Oscars, but Eddie Murphy has been named the second most overpaid star in Hollywood!
The Shrek star follows right behind actress Drew Barrymore who tops the list bringing in just $0.40 for every dollar she’s paid. Ouch!
Eddie fares considerably better providing a $2.70 return for every buck in his pay check, but he’s still the most overpaid male on the list, with flops like Meet Dave not setting the box office alight.
