The Houston, Texas native rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of R&B girl band Destiny's Child which fast became one of the best-selling female groups of all time.

Superstar Beyonce has split from her long-time manager -- her father Matthew Knowles -- RadarOnline.com has learned.
Knowles was instrumental in guiding her career from Destiny’s Child to becoming an international performer in her own right.
So far, the curvy star has not given any reason for her split with her father and mentor.

Jennifer Hudson keeps us amazed: The Grammy-and Oscar-winning American idol alum looked to be great shape post-baby as she closed a Netflix-sponsored Wizard Of Oz-themed concert in New York's Central Park Tuesday night with the classic, Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
The talented Hudson looked to be standing strong in the wake of a stressful 12 months: She lost her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in a triple-killing last Oct. 24, and gave birth to her first child, son David Daniel Otunga Jr., Aug. 10.

After months of an increasing bump and radio silence, a Chicago newspaper claims to have spoken with a guest at Jennifer Hudson's baby shower this weekend--confirming the star is pregnant with her first child.
"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," Hudson pal Felicia Fields allegedly told the Chicago Tribune.
"They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet."
The shower took place in Downtown Chicago, where guests brought gifts mostly in yellow as Hudson and fiancé David Otunga "don't [know the gender]."
