We're well into fall premiere season, and it looks like NBC has been saving the best for last: Mercy, a medical drama sure to be the sexiest, scintillating watch since ER, hits airwaves Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c.
The weekly, one-hour drama is based on the comings and goings of the nurses of Mercy Hospital, a New Jersey medical facility where harrowing tales are woven in with the personal lives of those who work there: What Las Vegas was to casino staff, Mercy is to a group of nurses.
Veronica Flanagan, played by fresh-faced Taylor Schilling, is the main character, a savvy nurse back from Iraq who leads her saucy colleagues Sonia Jimenez (played by gorgeous Broadway import Jamie Lee Kirchner) and Chloe Payne (portrayed by Gossip Girl's Michelle Trachtenberg) through the day-to-day, life-and-death fray of a hospital.
The show also stars Guillermo Diaz, James Tupper, Diego Klattenhoff and James LeGros.
Mercy premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c.
