Larry Birkhead testifies Anna Nicole Was Hospitalized To Detox While She Was Pregnant

It was Larry Birkhead’s turn to take the stand Friday in the preliminary hearing of the case against Howard K Stern, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor.
Anna Nicole’s ex-boyfriend and father to her daughter Dannielynn, testified that his relationship with Howard K Stern was "icy," and that "we clashed a lot.".

Birkhead stated that Stern would insert himself into his and Anna's personal relationship. "I don't think he was happy I was there," Birkhead said of his living at Anna's house. His relationship with Stern is now friendly though, and they have a "working relationship" as Stern is executor of the estate.

Birkhead said he became very concerned when Anna became pregnant and she took, "methadone and ambien."
Birkhead also said Anna was hospitlaized in April 2006 at Cedars Sinani to "detox," and she was pregnant at the time.

Birkhead said that a black duffel bag was kept in the closet of the hospital room that contained prescribed meds from home, and that "she complained she wasn't getting enough methadone from the IV drip, so she consumed methadone that was in the duffel bag."
"I never saw anyone force Anna to take pills," Larry said.

The last time he saw Anna Nicole alive was on May 17, 2006 in a hair salon near her Studio City home, where they had an argument, and shortly thereafter Anna left California for Florida.
Larry is due back on the stand after lunch.

Larry Birkhead, Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend and baby daddy to little Dannielynn Hope, was due to testify in court Thursday in the preliminary hearing against Howard K Stern, Dr Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor.

However, the day was passed with testimony by Anna’s former bodyguard, Maurice Brighthaupt, and Birkhead is now scheduled to give testimony Friday.
Birkhead was ordered to return to court Friday morning at 9.30am, and he’s raring to go. Birkhead told RadarOnline.com "I'm ready to go, I was ready two days ago."
Meantime, during grueling cross examination from Howard K. Stern's lawyer, Steve Sadow Brighthaupt was questioned about statements he made to the press after Anna Nicole died.

"I intentionally lied when I said I never saw Anna Nicole take prescription drugs, or Howard injecting her. I thought it was what a good friend/bodyguard would say to protect her name," Brighthaupt said.
Stern And Doctors Plead Not Guilty
Sadow questioned the timing of Brighthaupt talking to California Department of Justice Special Agent Santiago. Brighthaupt said he "ducked" Santiago's calls for months after Anna died.
Sadow asked Brighthaupt if the reason why he finally called Santiago back was because two days previously Howard K Stern went on Larry King Live and accused Brighthaupt of stealing from Anna's estate. "I didn't call Santiago back at that time because I was accused of being a thief," Brighthaupt insisted.

Eroshevich is captured in a cocaine scandal, snorting a white powder, with many more lines waiting on a mirror.
Eroshevich's name has surfaced in recently released court documents, according to an article in Monday's Los Angeles Times.

The documents allege that Eroshevich engaged in sexual conduct with the heavily medicated Smith.
In photos dated three months before the model's death, Eroshevich and Smith are shown naked and embracing in a bathtub, according to an affidavit.
Eroshevich, Smith's attorney Howard K. Stern and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor have all been indicted in connection with supplying drugs to Anna Nicole Smith. All three have pled not guilty.
