EXCLUSIVE: Dolla’s Mother Breaks Silence on Son’s Murder

A preliminary hearing for the man accused of murdering 21-year-old Atlanta-based rapper, Dolla, has been continued until July 13, RadarOnline.com has learned.
On Wednesday morning, Dolla’s mother, Dawnee Robinson Veira, looked visibly shaken and wiped away tears as her son’s accused killer, Aubrey Berry, 23, appeared in an LA courtroom wearing an orange jumpsuit.
On April 16, Berry allegedly gunned down Roderick Burton II, a.k.a Dolla, at the upscale Beverly Center shopping center in Los Angeles.
Veira told RadarOnline.com exclusively, “We are prayerful that justice will be served. I will be at every court appearance to assure that justice is served.”

The prime suspect in the tragic shooting of Atlanta rapper Dolla, signed to artist Akon's record label, has plead not guilty to assault with a fire arm.
Aubrey Berry, also an Atlanta native, was apprehended Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport, matching a physical description of Dolla's assailant and allegedly carrying a handgun in his waistband.

The 23-year-old Atlanta man accused of killing 21-year-old rapper Dolla at the Beverly Center shopping complex in Los Angeles earlier this week will hear the charges levied against him Friday, authorities said.
Aubrey Louis Berry, in custody in lieu of $5 million bail, will officially be charged with murder and two counts of assault with a firearms, officials said. The Monday shooting was not caught on tape, according to officials.
Dolla, whose real name was Roderick Burton, had traveled to Los Angeles to record his first album, officials said.

On Wednesday, an Atlanta man was charged with Monday’s fatal shooting of an up-and-comer rapper at the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles.
Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, is charged with one count of murder and two counts each of assault with a firearm, all with the special allegations of personal use of a handgun.
Berry allegedly got into an altercation with Roderick Burton, aka Dolla. He then allegedly pulled out a gun and fired, fatally wounding the 21-year-old artist and firing at two other people in Burton’s party. The shooting occurred shortly after 3 p.m. in the parking garage of the mall. Berry allegedly drove away in a rented Mercedes SUV and was later arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport. He allegedly had a gun with him at the time of his arrest.
He is being held on $1.1 million bail. If convicted, he faces a maximum of life in prison with the possibility of parole.

A rapper signed to pop star Akon's record label was shot and killed in Los Angeles Monday, as he entered the Beverly Center shopping complex.

The 21-year-old artist, real name Roderick Anthony Burton, sufferd a gunshot to the head just after 3 p.m.
Burton was on the premises with fellow artist D.J. Shabazz at the time of the shooting, waiting at an entrance to the mall.
Police detained a potential suspect two hours later, attempting to board a plane at Los Angeles International Airport, reports say. Cops at LAX approached the suspect, who then revealed a 9 millimeter handgun.
The alleged shooter, reportedly named Aubery Berry, was arrested and is currently in custody.
