Since the Do Something Awards are all about people reaching out to help others, RadarOnline.com hit the red carpet at the show’s taping in Hollywood Sunday and asked the stars who reached out to them and helped them get their big break.
Surprisingly, a member of Foster the People told our Candace Smith that he owes his success to Bill Cosby who called his house one day to speak to his mother and encouraged him to stay in school and get an education so he didn’t end up picking up somebody else’s garbage.

The 2011 Do Something Awards were taped Sunday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and RadarOnline.com hit the red carpet.
With Labor Day right around the corner, our Candace Smith questioned Do Something attendees about the absolute worse job they ever had -- and there were some unusual answers!
Apparently actors gravitate to jobs that force them to go door to door, whether it’s VH1’s Single Ladies star D.B. Woodside selling vacuums or Single Ladies star Charity Shea selling oil changes.

VH1's 2010 Do Something Awards paid tribute to Hollywood's most generous philanthropists at the Palladium in Hollywood Monday night, and RadarOnline.com caught up with some of the bright-eyed do-gooders on the red carpet to dish on the evening's event.
Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz, showing he's as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside, told us: "We're all human, we're on this earth to make it better, and for me, I've had a lot of people helping me out, so it's like paying it forward for me, now that I'm in a position to do so... it's just nice to do that."
