"Designing Women" actress Dixie Carter has died at the age of 70.
She was best known for playing the quick-witted Southerner Julia Sugarbaker for seven years on the CBS sitcom, but she had a host of roles on Broadway and TV.
She's survived by her husband, actor Hal Holbrook and two daughters, Mary Dixie and Ginna.
