Jennifer Grey spoke up again Wednesday in defense of plans to re-make Dirty Dancing, the 1987 film which made her -- and Patrick Swayze -- bona fide stars.
The remake will be directed by Kenny Ortega (of This Is It & High School Musical fame), who choreographed the original version.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Lionsgate is planning to remake cult classic Dirty Dancing, fans of the 1987 flick are expressing their disgust on Twitter.
"Guys, it is time to rise up and riot. THEY ARE REMAKING DIRTY DANCING!" tweeted one follower, while another claimed she was going to have a "super stroke" upon hearing the news.

After rupturing a disc in her back during last month’s Dancing With The Stars finals, the show's eventual champion Jennifer Grey underwent surgery to repair the injuries last week, RadarOnline.com has learned.
"I'm still recovering at home," Grey told People. "I have to rest a bit more, but I feel great -- completely pain free."

Jennifer Grey scored the first 10s of the season on Dancing With The Stars Monday, as the 50-year-old Dirty Dancing star's tango with partner Derek Hough wowed the show's judges -- including the hard-to-please Bruno Tonioli, who dubbed her dance a "primetime delight."
