Til Death Do Us Part, Couple Married 65 Years Die 88 Minutes Apart

65 years ago, James and Marjorie Landis vowed to spend the rest of their lives together and this week they fulfilled their promise by dying just 88 minutes apart.
The couple from Westmont, Pennsylvania met at a local dance when the Air Force pilot swept his future bride off her feet, even though they were both on dates with other people!
They were married in 1946 and last September, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

A lifetime of happiness and joyful memories together came to a fitting end on Monday when Marjorie died at Laurelwood Care Center following a long illness. Just 88 minutes later, James, 89, suffered a heart attack and followed his wife in death, reported the Tribune Democrat.
Inseparable throughout their marriage, the loving husband had been by her side when she died, and returned to her side soon after.

Charlie, the chimpanzee who became famous for his smoking habit, has taken his last puff.
The 52 year-old South African chimp died Tuesday at the Bloemfontein Zoo where he had been a fixture for years.

Charlie first started smoking five years ago when zoo visitors would throw lit cigarettes into his exhibit.

TV pitchman Billy Mays was terrified over the prospect of his third hip replacement surgery when he died suddenly in his sleep.
"He was taking Xanax to keep him calm and pain medication but he was terribly frightened and anxious about the upcoming surgery," said a source close to Mays.
Mays' surgery was scheduled for Monday (June 29). He flew to his home in Odessa, Fl, Saturday (June 27) from Philadelphia where he had shot yet another of his famous TV sales ads.
