BREAKING NEWS: Michael Jackson's Body Remains At Forest Lawn Mortuary While His Family Scrambles To Finalize Funeral Plans
Posted on Jul 01, 2009 @ 02:34PM - 7 comments

Michael Jackson's remains are still being held at Forest Lawn Mortuary, RadarOnline.com has learned while his family continues to grapple with how to best memorialize and celebrate his life.
The family has still not made contact with Santa Barbara County officials and their frustration is growing by the hour. "We certainlywish someone from the Jackson camp would let us know what their plans are. In the meantime, we have to be prepared for anything and everything," a well-placed source told RadarOnline.com. "The ranch is on a winding country road and is not equipped to handling the kind of traffic a public service would bring in. It is already jammed with media trucks and fans."
Staples Center has also both repeatedly been rumored as a possible location for the public portion of the event but Michael Roth, spokesperson for the arena told RadarOnline.com that he sent all Staples employees an email this morning advising them that reports the memorial would be at Staples were "not true."
If a public service does take place in Los Angeles and the remains then transported the 130 miles to the ranch for a private family gathering, as other reports have suggested, that too presents nightmare concerns for law enforcement.
California Highway Patrol Office Vince Ramirez told RadarOnline.com: "Once that body starts movement, it's going to create a mob scene We want to make sure we're involved wherever that body goes."

Jackson’s Will Filed: Diana Ross Named as Possible Guardian
Posted on Jul 01, 2009 @ 10:29AM - 2 comments

According to his will filed Wednesday with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Michael Jackson entrusted guardianship of his children to his mother Katherine (with Diana Ross nominated as guardian if Katherine is unable to fulfill her duties) and left all of his assets in a trust fund. The five-page document (Read Michael Jackson's Will), which was signed in July 7, 2002, named his longtime lawyer John Branca, music executive and friend John McClain and Barry Siegel as executors of the will. It also left out any consideration for the mother of his first two children Debbie Rowe.
The Michael Jackson Family Trust (which was established on March 22, 2007) provides for his children, his mother, and distributes money to several charities.
Katherine was granted temporary custody of Jackson’s three children on Monday as well control of his personal property. The value of his holdings remain unknown.
"I have intentionally omited to provide for my former wife Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson," it said.
Michael Jackson Retrospective
Posted on Jun 30, 2009 @ 01:03PM - 1 comment

RadarOnline.com takes a look back at the King of Pop’s illustrious career highlights.
When Michael was just 11 years old, The Jackson 5 released their first single, “I Want You Back,” and fans were instantly captivated by the young lead singer’s dynamic stage presence and James Brown-inspired moves. The American public hadn’t been so fascinated by a child star since Shirley Temple, and Michael led the Jackson 5 to become the first group in pop history to see their first four singles top the charts.
Soon Motown began grooming their star on the rise for a solo career. Sure enough, Michael’s first three singles were all in the Top 5, with his first solo Number 1 single being the title song from the film Ben, a children’s movie about a rat, which also earned an Oscar nomination.
It was his role as the Scarecrow – to Diana Ross’s Dorothy – in the somewhat unmemorable film The Wiz in 1977 where Michael met Quincy Jones, who produced his first adult solo effort, Off the Wall. The disco-pop album had four Number 1 hits and went multi-platinum, all while Michael was still the star of the Jackson 5.
