Joran Van Der Sloot Doesn’t Plead Guilty As Expected; Trial Delayed

The trial of murder suspect Joran van der Sloot has been delayed for several days after he requested more time so that he can "reflect" on his plea.

Despite being expected to plead guilty of all charges in connection to the May 2010 murder of student Stephany Flores, the notorious Dutchman asked the court on Friday for more time to decide what to say.

When asked for a plea by the magistrates, van der Sloot said he wanted to give a "sincere confession," a type of guilty plea that can qualify him for a reduced sentence, but did not agree with all of the charges against him.

Peter Jackson’s much-anticipated The Hobbit: Part 1 has stalled production, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The film was set to start shooting any day now in New Zealand – the same place the hit movie trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings was filmed – leaving many to wonder if the recent earthquake would affect the making of the movie.

It’s hasn’t. Instead, Jackson’s health is a cause for concern after he was admitted to a New Zealand hospital due to a perforated stomach ulcer.

However, someone forgot to tell leading actor Ian McKellen of the delay and he showed up in New Zealand last week!
