The ex-convict couple was married earlier this month after they each served 15 years on death row before both their convictions were overturned for the murders that they steadfastly denied doing, reported the New York Times.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the last desperate plea for clemency made on behalf of Davis was turned down on Tuesday, despite having received an outpouring of support from those who believe that he was wrongly accused of killing a police officer in 1989.

Opening statements in the Casey Anthony trial could begin as early as this Thursday, if the jury is finalized on Tuesday as expected.

In a case that has gripped the nation, Anthony, a 25-year-old Orlando, Florida woman, is accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, in 2008.
