The iconic hair stylist Vidal Sassoon was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Wednesday after an unspecified illness according to law enforcement.
The 84-year-old had his family by his side, but no other details were immediately released.
He is the man behind the famed hair products that turned him into an internationally known stylist. British born Sassoon opened his first salon in London in 1954 and opened his New York salon in 1973.

Davy Jones died from a heart attack Wednesday morning, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
The Monkees singer was 66 years old.

Jones was born in Manchester, England and started his entertainment career as an actor, appearing in the British soap opera, Coronation Street, before progressing to the West End where he received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Oliver Twist.
Jones says he was inspired to become a musician after seeing the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He was a member of the Monkees from 1965 until they disbanded in 1971 and sang vocals on many of their hits, including Daydream Believer and I Wanna Be Free.

The man who played Grandpa Joe in 2005's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has passed away at the age of 82, RadarOnline.com has learned.
David Kelly died in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday and the official cause of death has not been released yet.
Kelly had a long acting career that began in 1951, and starred alongside Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore in Laws of Attraction and in 1998's Waking Ned Devine.

Before moving to the big screen, Kelly starred in a series of television shows like Strumpet City, Last of Summer and Robin's Nest.
Kelly leaves behind his wife and two children.

The late Whitney Houston’s body is on a jet heading to New Jersey for her funeral later this week, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Houston’s remains, along with family members and close friends, left Van Nuys airport Monday on director Tyler Perry’s private jet.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Beverly Hills Police Department held a press conference on Monday to discuss the death of Houston, revealing that they've concluded their preliminary investigation and have handed it over to the coroner's office.

Whitney Houston was found dead in the legendary Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, making her the latest in a long line of stars who have passed away in famous hotels.
