Academy Award winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson has given birth to a healthy 7lb 14oz baby boy.
The baby has been named David Daniel Otunga Jr in honor of his dad, David Otunga, the former I Love NY2 contestant turned WWE star.
"The baby is beautiful and perfect," Hudson's publicist Lisa Kasteler said in a statement to RadarOnline.com. "His parents are ecstatic." Mother and baby are reported to be doing well after Monday’s birth.

David Otunga, the fiancée of Grammy and Oscar-winning Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson, made his pro wrestling debut Wednesday, as his celebrated better half quietly watched from afar.
Wrestling under the name Dawson Alexander, Esq., Otunga looked impressive, albeit a little green, working for Florida Championship Wrestling, a farm system for the WWE; FCW commentator/ wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes hinted the organization was present scouting the high-profile ring rookie.
In any event, don't expect Otunga to make like "Macho Man" Randy Savage and get married in the ring anytime soon -- Otunga and Hudson's nuptials have been a well-kept secret, so far.
Hudson and Otunga are reportedly expecting their first child together.

After months of an increasing bump and radio silence, a Chicago newspaper claims to have spoken with a guest at Jennifer Hudson's baby shower this weekend--confirming the star is pregnant with her first child.
"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," Hudson pal Felicia Fields allegedly told the Chicago Tribune.
"They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet."
The shower took place in Downtown Chicago, where guests brought gifts mostly in yellow as Hudson and fiancé David Otunga "don't [know the gender]."

Rumors that Jennifer Hudson is pregnant have been circling for a while, but now, according to Essence magazine, Hudson’s pregnancy is confirmed. The mag claims they’ve gotten their information from two sources.
The former American Idol contestant and Oscar winner, is engaged to David Otunga, who is also a former reality show contestant as well as a Harvard Law graduate.
The Dream Girls star is currently on tour with Robin Thick. Their next show is scheduled for April 23rd at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, MO.
