911 CALL: Mindy McCready’s Mom: My Daughter Has Taken An Overdose

The gripping 911 call that Country star Mindy McCready’s mom made after finding her daughter Tuesday morning with an empty bottle of pills has been released, and RadarOnline.com has the recording.
The call begins with “My daughter has taken an overdose.” Gayle McCready Inge says to the 911 operator “I don’t know how many pills my daughter has taken; I thought I could handle it. And I could get her to a hospital, but she’s evidentially taken a whole bunch.”
At one dramatic point when asked if the overdose was intentional, Inge replies that it was.
“Is she completely alert?” the operator. “No absolutely not—I can talk to her, but she’s in and out,” Gayle responds.

“I know she took Darvocet and she said something about a muscle relaxer but I don’t see that bottle anywhere,” Gail says.

“There was a lot of Darvocet in the bottle. I don’t know how many she took but she’s claiming she took a lot.”
As RadarOnline.com first reported Gayle McCready Inge admits giving her daughter Darvocet to ease the pain from a broken foot. The 34-year-old has been staying with her mom in Fort Myers, Florida for the past week visiting with her 4-year-old son Zander.

Country star Mindy McCready is in the hospital after mixing prescription drugs, “but I don’t want to call it an overdose,” her mom, Gayle McCready Inge tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Mindy has been visiting her mom in Fort Myers, Florida and “I heard the door open at 4:20 or something this morning,” Gayle says. When she checked on Mindy, “She was sitting up on her computer, so she wasn’t out or anything.”

Gayle says she gave her 34-year-old daughter pain killers, “Yeah I gave them to her, they’re mine because she broke her toe Saturday and she was in excruciating pain.”
When asked if Mindy had an overdose, Gayle says “to be honest she was saying absolutely not, that didn’t happen. She was just in pain and she might have mixed something she shouldn’t of. She’s already on some meds.”

This is significant because Mindy and her mother have been at odds for a few years, and most recently they were in court in a custody battle over Zander.
Gayle says “I just felt like she was disoriented and I called 911.” Gaye says “It is getting taken care of. I think she’s ok.” As for Zander, Gayle says “He is fine.. He’s going to go (to the hospital) with me.”
