CMA Awards: Taylor Swift Wins Entertainer Of The Year – For Second Time!

Taylor Swift won her second entertainer of the year award at Wednesday night's 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards out of Nashville.

Swift (who first captured the honors in 2009) and Barbara Mandrell remain the only women in the history of the show to capture the honors more than once.

"To win it twice is like the coolest thing ever happening to me twice!" Swift, who's sold more than 20 million albums, said during a backstage interview. "I'm freaking out right now."

Country music superstars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley put on an entertaining display during Wednesday night's 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards out of Nashville, lampooning Kim Kardashian’s recent ill-fated marriage and the Justin Bieber baby scandal.

Country music superstars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley put on an entertaining display during Wednesday night's 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards out of Nashville, lampooning Kim Kardashian’s recent ill-fated marriage and the Justin Bieber baby scandal.

Kardashian got hit with some of the comedy shrapnel when the duo, along with Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet, sang a little ditty in honor of her 72-day union with NBA forward Kris Humphries.

As they sang, "I'm gonna love you forever,"  they added, "or 72 days!"

Relatively new faces dominated at Wednesday night's 44th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, where upstart country crooner couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton struck gold, along with veteran Brad Paisley who won the night's top prize.

Lambert - who turned 27 on Wednesday - won best album for Revolution, best video for The House That Built Me (songwriters Tom Doughas and Allen Shamblin won best song for the same track), and best female vocalist.

From Hollywood to Nashville, Gwyneth Paltrow can do it all.

The 38-year-old beauty received a standing ovation for her live performance at Wednesday night's 44th Annual Country Music Association Awards, where she performed a duet with country legend Vince Gill. The song was called Country Strong, the title track from her upcoming film about a singer overcoming drug addiction.

The mother-of-two, who's married to Coldplay's Chris Martin, said honing her musical side in preparing for the film was "incredible."

You know you’ve made it when someone turns you into a doll. Country music sensation Taylor Swift now has a range of dolls that sing her own songs.

The toys - made by JAKKS Pacific- are available to buy for 19.99 USD each.

It tops a tumultuous year for the 19-year-old starlet. Swift swept the board at the recent Country Music Association Awards by picking up a string of gongs, including Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.

And in September she hit headlines when Kanye West jumped on stage as she was accepting an award at the MTV Video Music Awards only to tell her it should have gone to Beyonce instead.

But our girl has bounced back: “The past year has been like a wonderful dream,”  said Swift. “To have a successful doll is like the icing on the cake.”

Each doll sings a 30 second highlight of one of Swift’s hit songs and comes dressed like she is in her music videos with a guitar and hair brush.
