The Costume Institute Met Gala is regarded as one of New York City’s most glamorous nights of the year, but sadly one guest used the occasion to flaunt her extreme thinness, and RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that her actions may have deep-rooted ripple affects and even risk her life.

In a pose that was reminiscent of Angelina Jolie’s bizarre leg flash at the Oscars, model Anja Rubik deliberately stood with her razor-sharp hip jutting out of her skimpy cut-out white silk Anthony Vaccarello gown to accentuate her stick-thin figure.

DNP Random Things

At the Costume Institute Gala Monday night in NYC, some stars achieved fashion fame, while others were headed to the haute hall of shame!  2012 star Camilla Belle was the definition of old Hollywood glamour, ravishing in a bright red, full-skirted Jason Wu gown, while Naomi Watts looked fabulous in her one-shouldered Stella McCartney creation, which was a heavenly hue of fuchsia.

Christina Hendricks, who has never been conventional with couture, wore a wig-like attaché on her revealing, blue gown, which almost matched her outlandish updo, while Demi Moore looked a tad awkward in her liquid Lanvin number.

Some pretty ladies dared to wear shorter dresses to the fancy event.  Emilie de Ravin stunned in a flirty, nude Valentino number, while Emma Roberts' basic, black cocktail dress failed to do her any justice.

Melania Trump looked beyond breathtaking in a wondrously blue Christian Siriano gown, while her step-daughter opted for a Versace gown, which looked more Ivana than Ivanka.

How amazing did Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra look?  Check out the gallery in Style and find out.

At the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala celebrating “American Woman: Fashioning a Nation,” on Monday evening in NYC, fashion literally imitated art.

PHOTOS: Best And Worst Of The MET Gala

Hosted by Anna Wintour, Patrick Robinson of the Gap and Oprah Winfrey, the red carpet was flooded with the A-list’s most fashionable men and women, including fashion designers, supermodels and actresses, who looked runway ready in luxurious couture.

It was no surprise that Burberry darlings Emma Watson and Claire Danes were outfitted in custom-designed gowns created by the Brit labels Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey.  The beauties (Claire’s plus one was hubby Hugh Dancy, who also rocked Burberry!) also sat at his dinner table, along with Daniel Craig and his wife Satsuki Mitchell, Edward Norton and famed photographer Mario Testino.

Zoe Saldana and Diane Kruger, who usually opt for eccentric and complicated couture, walked down the carpet in stunning, minimalist style.  Zoe looked flawless in a navy blue Calvin Klein Collection, one-sleeved gown, while Diane opted for an ivory, simply sleeved number from the same collection. Just goes to show, simple can be just as dramatic as elaborate!

Eva Mendes defined Hollywood glamour girl, wearing a black, ruched, rose print Dolce & Gabbana strapless mermaid gown, which flaunted her covetable curves, while Kerry Washington wore a Thakoon for Gap gown, which will be auctioned off for charity.
