'So You Think You Can Dance' Choreographer Gets 10 Years For Rape

A former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer — who spent four years on the hit show — was sentenced on Friday in a Los Angeles courthouse to 10 years in prison for rape.

Alex Da Silva, 43, was arrested in 2009 and charged with eight felony counts of assault stemming from allegations of rape and assault from aspiring dancers between the ages of 20 and 26.

Although Da Silva pleaded not guilty, a jury of four women and eight men found him guilty of rape on a 22-year-old woman from a 2002 incident and guilty of intent to commit rap on a 25-year-old woman during a 2009 incident.

Jodie Foster’s Father Sentenced To Five Years In Jail

Jodie Foster’s father has been sentenced to five years in jail following his conviction for stealing more than $100,000 from elderly and low-income people.

Lucius Foster, 89, was sentenced in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday after being found guilty of 21 counts of grand theft for taking $5,000 down-payments from 25 investors on low-cost homes. 

The homes, that were advertised as selling for $85,999 each, were never built according to the prosecution.

As supporters of Amanda Knox anxiously wait to hear if the appeal against her murder conviction is successful, the family of victim Meredith Kercher is speaking out.

The British student's sister, Stephanie Kercher, told a news conference in Perugia, Italy on Monday: "It is very difficult to keep her memory alive in all of this," reported The Telegraph in the U.K.

She went on to explain that forgiveness "does not come into it" at the moment. "It would be very difficult to forgive anything at this stage," said Stephanie.

Serial killer and cult leader Charles Manson recently spoke out for the first time in 20 years, referring to himself as God and calling President Barack Obama "an idiot."

"I don't play. I shoot people," Manson told Vanity Fair Spain magazine in a rambling phone interview from his California prison cell. The interview marked the 40th anniversary of his conviction. "I'm too bad. I'm a mean guy. I'm an outlaw. I'm a criminal. I'm everything bad."
