While many makeup products can dry out your skin, every eye shadow, mascara and lipstick we have sampled from the collection has left our skin feeling smooth and refreshed.
Cle de Peau’s Must-Have Concealer
One of our favorite new products, is their Satin Eye Color ($45). Available in every shade under the sun, from Obsidian, a smoky black, to pink opal, a peachy pink, the luxuriously smooth shadow manages to stay on our lids all day, without ending up under our eyes. We are always skeptical of anything, which has an abnormal amount of hype around it, especially beauty products. After years of hearing celebs tell us how they can’t live without Cle de Peau Concealer (Kim Kardashian personally told us it is the one product she can’t live without) we decided to put the $70 tube of supposed magical makeup to the test!

While most other concealers dry out your skin, making it necessary to load on expensive eye cream, Cle de Peau touts a “Revitalizing Moisture Complex,” which consists of Super Bio-Hyaluronic Acid as well as several extracts of green tea and flowers. What does this all mean in reality?

After a late night in the office and very little sleep, we used a concealer brush to apply the creamy color over the dark circles, which live under our eyes. Immediately, the darkness turned to light and while most other “heavy” concealers we use tend to feather and crack, resulting in a tired and made-up look, the Cle de Peau absorbed into our skin in a flawless finish. To our surprise, as soon as we stepped into the office, people were commenting on how fab we looked!
How To Not Wear Makeup
Though $70 may seem a tad expensive for under eye concealer, as most seem to run around the $30 mark, sometimes the old saying “You get what you pay for” stands true. Also, a little bit of this puppy goes a long way, so we can imagine one tube will last you through the year.
