Lady Gaga, appearing on The View Monday, candidly spoke about the death of fellow singer Amy Winehouse, as well as her own trials and tribulations with drug abuse.

The Born This Way singer said when she learned the Rehab singer died July 23 at just 27 years old, she "was just so devastated and so sad...

"And I really couldn’t speak for like 48 hours straight.”

Legendary musician Clarence Clemons has died at the age of 69, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Clemons --best known for his smooth sax sounds as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band --had been in the hospital since suffering a serious stroke at his Florida home on June 12.

Legendary musician Clarence Clemons has died at the age of 69, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Clemons --best known for his smooth sax sounds as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band --had been in the hospital since suffering a serious stroke at his Florida home on June 12.

Springsteen -- who fondly called Clemons "The Big Man" for his imposing figure --issued a statement late Saturday about his dear friend, saying: "His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the opportunity to stand beside him for nearly 40 years."
Despite years of health problems, Clemons performed with Lady Gaga on the season finale of American Idol last month. He also played on two songs on Gaga's hit album, Born This Way.

In addition to his long career in music, Clemons also acted, and appeared in Martin Scorsese' 1977 TV musical New York, New York as well as in several films including The Blues Brothers, Swing, and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Clemons was married five times and has four sons

Twitter queen Lady Gaga rallied her social media troops to pledge support, love and well wishes to E Street Band sax player Clarence Clemons, who suffered a stroke at his home in Florida this past weekend.

"Little monsters, my very close friend +musician on The Edge of Glory, Clarence Clemons is very sick," she tweeted to her nearly 11 million followers. "Can we all make some get well videos?”

Legendary E Street Band sax player Clarence Clemons is in ‘responsive and stable condition’ following his stroke, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The 69-year-old was hospitalized in Florida after being struck down by the stroke which reportedly required two brain surgeries.

But the E Street Band’s fan website Backstreets.com has now given-out a more hopeful statement :

"MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING" The latest out of Florida has Clarence Clemons in better condition than anyone expected, a close friend tells Backstreets: "Yesterday, it did not look good at all. Today... miracles are happening. His vital signs are improving. He's responsive. His eyes are welling up when we're talking to him. He was paralyzed on his left side, but now he's squeezing with his left hand. This is the best news we've heard since [the stroke] happened — it's nothing short of miraculous. The next five days will still be critical. But he's a fighter."
