Shannen Doherty has gotten herself into some financial hot water.
The actress, best known for playing Brenda Walsh on the hit show 90210, is being sued by City National Bank for breach of contract and unjust enrinchment for the princely sum of $85,000 plus interest.

The papers state that on December 12 2008 Doherty "made, executed and delivered to CNB a Promissory Note in the original sum of $90,000.00".
She agreed to make one principal payment plus interest on June 1, 2009. On June 18 the agreement was amended to extend to maturity to September 1, 2009. However, Doherty failed to meet the payment date and the loan became delinquent.
In addition to the $85k plus interest CNB are asking for Doherty to pay for costs of suit and reasonable attorney fees.

City National Bank is suing pop diva, Toni Braxton for breach of contract in regards to a $900k promissory note.

According to court docs, Braxton “on or about November 20, 2007, for value received, Braxton made, executed and delivered to a CNB Promissory Note for $900,000.00."

Toni Braxton encountered financial problems and the financial arrangement was reneogatied in February 2008. However, on April 1, 2009, Toni fell behind in payments. The court docs state, "pursuant to the agreement, the outstanding balance on the agreement as of June 5, 2009, was $657,567.54."
City National is seeking the $657k, and interest in excess of $44k.
