At first glance, the people in the home video appear to be like any normal, happy family as the proud parents watch their young sons glide down the slide and swing on a tire in the playground as their grandfather captures it all on film.

Then the reality sinks in that mother, Susan Powell is missing and presumed dead and the father, her husband Josh, was the prime suspect before he attacked their two boys, Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5, with a hatchet and blew them all up earlier this year. The only surviving person featured in the video is their grandfather, Steven Powell, who is currently facing charges of voyeurism against two young girls and whose journals reveal a disturbing sexual obsession with his daughter-in-law.

Newly uncovered e-mails sent by missing Utah woman Susan Powell are giving a disturbing insight into the abuse she endured at the hands of her husband Josh Powell before she disappeared in December 2009, and RadarOnline.com has exclusive insight from her family’s attorney.

Published in the Salt Lake City Tribune on Sunday, the e-mails were sent by Susan to several co-workers, friends and members of her ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, venting her frustration and pain over the state of her crumbling marriage.

As previously sealed documents have been released shedding light on the case of missing Utah woman Susan Powell, her parents have revealed that they believe her husband should have been arrested at the time for her suspected murder.

“It’s unbelievable, there was certainly enough evidence to arrest Josh and get some serious discussion out of him, because he was never actually taken in and interrogated,” Chuck Cox told the Today Show on Monday.

Josh Powell was the prime suspect in the 2009 disappearance of his wife Susan, but even after a tragic murder-suicide that killed both him and their two young sons, the case is far from closed, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that some family members believe Josh's father, Steven Powell, was actively involved.

“I believe that at a minimum Steven knew something about what happened to Susan,” Kirk Graves, who is married to Josh’s sister Jennifer, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

Susan Powell’s grieving parents are considering taken legal action against Washington state authorities over the child custody case that led to the death of their grandsons at the hands of their father, but RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that other family members believe that the only person to blame for the tragedy is Josh Powell himself.

Charlie and Braden Powell, the two young boys hacked and burned to death by their own father last Sunday in a horrific murder/suicide, were laid to rest Saturday in Tacoma, Washington.

The Powell and Cox families came together to remember the two boys who were tragically slain at the young ages of seven and five.

We've learned new details in the wake of the tragedy in Graham, Washington, where Josh Powell -- a person of interest in the two-year disappearance of wife Susan -- killed himself and his two young sons Sunday during what was to be a supervised visit with a social worker.

New overnight developments in the case reveal that Josh Powell had planned the home explosion that killed him for some time prior to Sunday; and even more shockingly, that the father murdered his two sons, 5-year-old Braden and 7-year-old Charles, with a hatchet prior to torching the home.

Authorities will continue the process Thursday of trying to identify if human remains found in the Utah desert are those of Susan (Cox) Powell, a wife and mother who mysteriously vanished in December, 2009.

Investigators with cadaver dogs found the remains near Topaz mountain, some 130 miles southwest of Provo late Wednesday.

"It's a game of patience at this point," said Sgt. Mike Powell of West Valley City, Utah.
