Aruba Murder Suspect Gary Giordano 'Still Very Concerned' Despite Being Set Release Date

Murder suspect Gary Giordano will be a free man on Tuesday after a judge in Aruba rejected a request to detain him a further 30 days, but he is not celebrating his impending release yet, RadarOnline.com has exclusively revealed.

"He is still very concerned, he will only feel relieved when he is on a plane going back home," the Maryland businessman's attorney Chris Lejuez told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Giordano was arrested August 5, three days after he told authorities his traveling companion from Maryland, Robyn Gardner, had gone missing while they were snorkeling.

The prime suspect in the murder of missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner was back in an Aruban court on Friday in a detention hearing where the judge denied his request for release, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

"The prosecution requested a 30-day extension from the judge, which was granted, " Gary Giordano's Aruban defense attorney Chris Lejuez told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview immediately after the decision was made.

"We requested a suspicion of detention, which he denied," he went on to reveal.

The prime suspect in the murder of missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner is due back in court for a hearing later this week, but Gary Giordano's defense lawyer exclusively revealed that the prosecution still has a tough challenge, if he is eventually charged.

The prime suspect in the murder of missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner is due back in court for a hearing later this week, but Gary Giordano's defense lawyer exclusively revealed that the prosecution still has a tough challenge, if he is eventually charged.

"They won’t have a slam dunk, I can assure you," Aruban defense attorney Chris Lejuez told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

"I am not confident that he will never been charged, but I am confident that if he is that I will have a lot of things to say regarding this case," he said adamantly.

Giordano will appear in court for a closed door hearing on Friday where the prosecution will present their argument to keep him detained longer, but as Lejuez explained, "The judge doesn’t need any new hard evidence to keep him. The bar is not set any higher to detain him.

Murder suspect Gary Giordano was once again denied his request for release on Monday and will remain behind bars in Aruba until the end of October, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Richard Forester, the boyfriend of Robyn Gardner, who disappeared while vacationing on the island with Giordano, talked exclusively to RadarOnline.com upon hearing the news that the Maryland man will not be released.

"While I'm glad he is still being detained, it doesn't answer any questions of Robyn's whereabouts. THIS is priority number one!" A vehement Forester told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

"There needs to be more broad searches covering Aruba and other surrounding islands and countries. Aruba needs the help of Interpol and more FBI involvement in this case. I won't let up until we have 'real' answers."
