A woman married the man of her dreams and her best friend since college, only to have him die just six weeks after she walked down the aisle.

Bethany Schmidt met future husband, Ryan Smith, when they were both students at the University of Oregon in 2005, and after graduation they moved into a small one-bedroom apartment in Eugene, where she got a job in graphic design and he worked in finance.

Robin Gibb has woken from the coma that he slipped into earlier this month but he remains gravely ill and doctors revealed on Sunday that he is suffering from advanced colorectal cancer.

Currently in intensive care and still "exhausted, extremely weak and malnourished,” the former Bee Gee recently underwent two operations and grueling doses of chemotherapy, both of which led to him contracting pneumonia because of his weakened state, explained Dr. Andrew Thillainayagam, according to Rolling Stone.

A British bride-to-be who dreamed of walking down the aisle despite a long-term battle with cancer lost her fight for life 90 minutes before she managed to say, “Til death do us part.”

Jemma Webb, 32, had been due to marry fiancé Alex Bradford, 30, at a beautiful English country house next month, but the date was brought forward as her condition worsened, reported the Telegraph.co.uk .

Michael Douglas completed chemotherapy for throat cancer in November and according to his rep Alan Burry, his health continues to improve, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report. 

“He’s doing fine, his health continues to improve and I can see the difference,” Burry told RadarOnline.com.

Douglas, 66, revealed in January that he is in remission for stage four throat cancer after months of intensive treatment.

The chemo and radiation ravaged his body and at one point he was so frail he was in a wheel chair.

Zeta-Jones was photographed during practice ahead of the inaugural Mission Hills Star Trophy overnight in Haikou, China, where she told reporters "it's business as usual in our family".

The Oscar-winning actor, 66, was photographed looking thin and frail earlier this week, prompting speculation his health has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.

“Michael completed his treatment about three weeks ago and is recuperating from the process," Douglas' longtime friend and publicist Allen Burry told RadarOnline.com.
