Stars got gorgeous for the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards in NYC, showing off fresh-faced and fab beauty looks. Gwyneth Paltrow sported a perfectly coiffed side ponytail, which accentuated her flawlessly made up face. Opting for slightly smoky eyes, nude, glistening lips and rosy cheeks, the mom a la mode was perfectly done up for her shimmering, custom-made Michael Kors gown.

Sarah Jessica Parker opted for dramatic, dark eyes, balancing the heavy look with a perfectly pink pout. We loved how she pulled her hair back into a half up, half down Odo, which was impeccably knotted, cascading into natural waves. Dakota Fanning highlighted her big, blue eyes with white shimmer lining, wearing a delicately beaded Jennifer Behr headpiece to finish off the angelic effect.

It was a fashionably fierce Monday night in NYC as style stars flocked to the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards, where Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, Michael Kors and Christopher Bailey for Burberry were amongst the trendsetters who took home trophies honoring their contribution to the industry. The competition was even more intense on the red carpet, with huge stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Dakota Fanning wearing top designer looks from the newest runway collections.

We weren’t surprised to see Sarah Jessica Parker honoring her late pal Alexander McQueen, wearing a gorgeous boho gown from his Pre-Fall 2010 Collection. Her purple and pink, wildly patterned gown was absolutely stunning, and we loved how she paired it with balanced bracelets on each wrist and a hippie-chic grey bucket clutch.

Gwyneth Paltrow looked totally glam in a custom coutured Michael Kors one-shouldered gown, which featured sexy cutouts. The black liquid number hugged her covetable curves in all the right places and was perfectly paired with a crocodile Michael Kors clutch and Fred Leighton jewels.

We have been loving Jessica Biel’s look lately, but the bombshell failed to impress us in a Diane von Furstenberg gown, which looked like it belonged in the jungle. We weren’t impressed with Alexa Chung’s choice of granny footwear or Kate Mara’s little red riding hood Zac Posen dress either!

CFDA Awards Star Styles: Uber Fab and Super Bad!

The CFDA Awards took center stage in New York's fashion scene last night, with top American designers, celebrities, socialites and supermodels merging at Lincoln Center to tote the accomplishments and contributions made to American fashion by the industries' most influential and statement-making experts.
Marc Jacobs scooped up the International Award for his contribution to Louis Vuitton. Rodarte designers, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, took home the most prized Womenswear Designer of the Year Award, and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (recently bloodied by a Kiefer Sutherland headbutt) nabbed the accessories award. For the Emerging Talent Award, celebrity red carpet favorite Alexander Wang picked up the prize.
While the CFDA Awards are about the designers and industry insiders, everyone was looking to see who dressed who and what they were wearing.
Supermodel Heidi Klum showed off her high-end style in a silver-crushed lame Michael Kors asymmetrical mini, Diane Kruger also went mini in a flashy-yet-classy body-hugging Jason Wu belted number, Blake Lively scored high style points in a neon pink Michael Kors sheath dress with pockets, and more!

Although it was a fashion affair, some stars missed the style mark. Victoria's Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes wore a long, red Zac Posen gown that resembled a flamenco dancer's number, Park Avenue gal Fabiola Beracasa turned a fab Proenza Shouler number into a freaky, feathery costume, Michelle Trachtenberg looked stuffed into a Behnaz Sarafpour ensemble, and more!
