An autopsy will be conducted Friday on the body of former New York Yankees pitcher Hideki Irabu who apparently committed suicide at his home in the Los Angeles area.
Irabu, 42, was found dead at his house Wednesday night in the posh L.A. suburb of Rancho Palos Verdes. He reportedly hanged himself – perhaps despondent after his wife left him, taking with her their two young daughters.

The reality television star who shot himself in a Californian desert wrote a heartbreaking suicide note to his parents, in which he said: "If life's not enjoyable, why stick around?"
Julien Hug, 35, left the handwritten note for Bertrand and Denise Hug, explaining he was suffering from “severe depression” and felt suicide was the only way out.
"I feel terribly about the grief I've caused," Hug, a one-time contestant on The Bachelorette wrote.

A tearful Jennifer Bell told mourners at Hug's funeral at Village Church in Rancho Santa Fe, California, on Friday, how the 35-year-old Bachelorette daredevil was her "life".

Though pro golfer Erica Blasberg’s death was deemed a suicide, her family is continuing their quest for answers. Erica’s father Mel Blasberg confirmed to RadarOnline.com exclusively that the family is moving forward with a civil action suit against Dr. Thomas Hess, who was charged with obstruction of justice for removing her suicide note and some prescriptions pills from her home.

The death of LPGA star Erica Blasberg has been ruled a suicide by the Clark County Coroner’s Office in Nevada.
It’s a terrible ending to the investigation of the golfer’s tragic death and authorities told RadarOnline.com that she was found with a plastic bag over her head.
RadarOnline.com has obtained audio of the 911 call made by Dr. Thomas Hess – who said he knew her from the golf club – and found her lifeless body inside her Henderson, Nevada home.

“I need to report a suicide,” Hess told the 911 dispatcher. “I came by to check on her last night and she had a couple drinks…I came by to check on her now and she’s dead.
“She put a bag on her head.”
Pro Golfer Erica Blasberg Found Dead
The call was placed on May 9 when Hess stopped by Blasberg’s home to check on her.
“She was supposed to be leaving for a golf tournament but she didn’t,” Hess told the operator to explain his concern for Blasberg. “She picked up the phone and she sounded intoxicated at that time.”

It is a photo that seems ordinary in the happiness it depicts. But seen now in the aftermath of Michael Blosil’s suicide, it is heartbreaking.

In the photo seen here on RadarOnline.com, Blosil is standing next to his best friend Ruthann Clawson in front of a Christmas tree. The two friends are smiling and seem carefree. But now just a short while later, Blosil is dead and his friends and family are devastated.

RadarOnline.com has learned that Ruthann found Michael’s suicide note following his death on Feb. 26 and she was reportedly mentioned in the note.

Michael, 18, is one of Marie Osmond’s sons and had battled depression for years.
Blosil’s roommate Sean Srnik told Entertainment Tonight Ruthann was Michael’s closest friend and he addressed her in the second half of the suicide note. that earlier in the night everything seemed fine.
“Michael got a phone call and he left the living room,” Srnik said, recalling Feb. 26 when Michael jumped to his death from their eight floor apartment. “About 5 to 10 minutes later Ruthann came in and asked, ‘Where’s Michael?’
“She ran into his room and that’s where she found the note on his bed.

“The note described basically how he was doing his very last shower, his last cigarette. The other half was toward Ruthann. about how he’s the closest one with her here and how she’s the one he can really tell this to. And he went on to talk about how he hopes she has a great life.”
