Kourtney Kardashian purchased a snake Wednesday at Fauna, an exotic pet store in New York City.
Although Khloe, 27, went along to see her 32-year-old sibling select a slithery reptile, she was grossed out by her choice of pet. She told an onlooker: "Eww! It's not mine."

Whoopi Goldberg has adopted a kitten that was thrown from a moving car.
The Oscar-winning actress The View co-host was moved by the plight of the unfortunate feline who was rescued last month after being tossed out of a vehicle driving down Verrazano Bridge in New York City.
The frightened animal was found wedged by a barrier on the busy road bridge and was taken to the New York Animal Care & Control centre.

The singer and actor has shot a new campaign with his rescued mixed-breed dogs Dingo and Foster in a bid to get people to rescue from shelters rather than going through puppy mills or breeders.
“The most loyal, loving pets definitely come from the pound, because I think they know where they come from," he says. "I think they started … with a rough life, being sent out, not being loved and wanted, and I think they really know that and it stays with them the rest of their life."

John Travolta and his family suffered from another loss on Thursday when two of their dogs accidentally were run over by a Bangor International Airport employee in Maine.

"At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 an airplane carrying members of the John Travolta family landed at BIA. While there, two small dogs were taken for a walk by someone who is not a family member," the city of Bangor, Maine, said in an e-mail to the Bangor Daily News.

"An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the airplane and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed. The airport is investigating the accident. Out of respect for the family’s privacy the city will make no further comment.”

“The airport takes safety very seriously,” airport director Rebecca Hupp said Monday afternoon. “Many flights come and go without incidents. Clearly, this is an unfortunate accident. Our deepest sympathies are with the family.”
Travolta owns a home on Islesboro off the coast of Waldo County in Maine. When reached on Monday, Travolta's publicist said he was unaware of what had happened.

Wilson, a seven-year old Maltese mix dog, is one lucky pup. Wilson, a Maltese-cross named after Tom Hanks's volleyball in Castaway went on a bit of a “walk-about” in his native Australia, which has been hit with storms this last week.
Wilson was reunited with owner Tonia Bocola after being rescued from a busy road having been separated from his owner during the recent storms. Ms Bocola said it was the sixth time Wilson, 7, had gone ‘walkies’.
