"Right now we're just trying to . . . identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together," Meadows said. "It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We're just trying to go back and make sense of everything."

Kris Jenner: 'I Could Have Saved Nicole Brown Simpson'

Posted on Oct 30, 2011 @ 04:00PM - 57 comments

By Radar Staff

Kris Jenner's blockbuster memoir, previewed exclusively on RadarOnline.com on Saturday, is shedding a dramatic new light on the murder of her best friend Nicole Brown Simpson.

Nicole, the ex-wife of football superstar-turned actor O.J. Simpson, was found brutally stabbed to death at her Los Angeles home approximately 10:50 pm on June 12, 1994.  Her friend Ron Goldman was also murdered.

Now Radar is revealing that Kris believes she could have saved Nicole had she met with her, as Nicole wanted, the very morning of her friend's murder.

Nicole called her early on June 12th, Kris writes. "Nicole said, "Can you get over here...? I need to talk to you. It's really important'."

Busy with her own children, Kris asked if they could put it off until the next day. But Nicole was persistent. "'That's okay, can you meet me tomorrow for lunch? I really have to talk to you about something really, really important'." Says Kris, "It would be the last time I would ever speak to Nicole."

The next morning, Kris was plunged into shock and trauma as she woke to the news that her close friend had been stabbed to death. "I instinctively knew that in some way O.J. had something to do with her death.

"I truly couldn't believe she had been so betrayed by the person who she had once loved most. That O.J. would be so destructive and selfish and jealous that he would do that to her was just mind-blowing to me. All these thoughts were running through my mind: This can't be true."

Her sadness grew even deeper as she realized that changing her schedule to meet Nicole on the eve of her murder could have saved Nicole's life. A mutual friend later told her, Kris writes, that "Nicole had been beaten up by O.J. and she had been keeping this physical proof in the form of photographs and, it would turn out, other evidence, in which she had documented seventeen years of abuse. Nicole really wanted someone close to her to know what was going on, so that somebody - namely me - could be a witness."

Kris was devastated at missing the opportunity to possibly save her. She recalls screaming, "'Oh my God! It's too late! It's too late!'...The realization that she had wanted to confide in me hit me so hard. ... And I had let her down."

O.J. stood trial for both Nicole and Ron's deaths, and was found not guilty.  In a civil case brought jointly by the Brown and Goldman families, he was found liable for their deaths, and ordered to pay $34 million in damages.  They only ever received a few thousand.

Simpson is now serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and other felonies in connection with a bizarre incident in Las Vegas where he attempted to recover what he claimed was stolen sports memorabilia.

Kris Jenner's New Book Rips The Lid Off The O.J. Simpson Murder Case

Posted on Oct 29, 2011 @ 01:00PM - 41 comments

By Radar Staff

Kris Jenner is known as the ultimate momager, the woman who catapulted her daughters Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian to stratospheric fame.

But before that, Kris was famous as the ex-wife of O.J. Simpson "dream team" attorney Robert Kardashian and as one of Nicole Brown Simpson's best friends.

Now, for the first time, Kris is speaking about O.J.'s murder trial -- and secret evidence only she has known -- in her memoir, Kris Jenner...and All Things Kardashian.

PHOTOS: Kim Kardashian Celebrates Her 31st Birthday In Las Vegas

Only Radar has an exclusive look at her blistering attack on O.J., of whom Kris says, "I never believed O.J., not for one second."

The abusive Simpson marriage ended in divorce in 1992 but Nicole's fears about O.J. became worse after the split.  Kris writes that Nicole told her, 'He's going to kill me and he's going to get away with it.'

PHOTOS: Kim Kardashian Moves Out

"She was a wreck," Kris writes. "She was convinced that someone was looking in her windows and climbing through her bushes in the middle of the night. She became convinced that the person spying on her was either O.J. or someone sent by O.J., who was obsessed with what she was doing when he wasn't with her. She told me that she was being stalked, and she believed it was O.J."

When Kris -- along with the rest of the world -- learned on June 12, 1994, Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman had been murdered, Jenner writes, "I instinctively knew that in some way O.J. had something to do with her death."

PHOTOS: Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner In Dubai

Kris was in limited contact with her ex-husband Robert during the trial -- they'd divorced in 1990 and she'd since married Bruce Jenner -- she found herself unwittingly enmeshed in the details of the case.

While driving in L.A. shortly after the murder, for example, she found herself stopped at a light next to Robert and O.J. When she called Robert to figure out what they were doing, just days after Nicole's horrible death, she recalls feeling very suspicious.

PHOTOS: Kim K In Dubai

"'O.J. was really upset because we had to go to the airport to get his [golf] clubs," [Robert explained]," when Kris called him with questions later that night, she writes. Incredulous, Kris asked why a grieving man would do such a thing, when the airport could just mail them to him. She continues, "'Well, Kris,' [Robert said, "]he was at a golf tournament,'"... referring to O.J.'s supposed whereabouts in Chicago the day after the murder. "'When the police came and took him to the airport and he got on the plane, his clubs didn't make it. They just arrived today.'"

"I thought that sounded suspicious," Kris admits.  So did many others, and the rumor arose that O.J. had hidden the murder weapon, a knife, among the metal clubs so it wouldn't set off security alarms.

Bikini Wars! Battle Of The Booty

Even more suspicious, she writes, "According to Robert, that night or shortly thereafter, O.J. said that he wanted to go for a walk, and he needed to go by himself. He said he needed to go "talk to Nicole." So he went on this really long walk...I'll always wonder what O.J. did on that walk. Did he take the knife out of the golf bag and throw it into a canyon or in somebody's trash can? That still haunts me."

Furthermore, Kris claims she was with Nicole when she bought gloves very similar to the infamous leather version O.J. tried on during the trial, but when he put them on for the jury they were obviously shrunken from contact with a liquid. "It was such a ruse," she laments.

Kris was never called to testify about any of this information or about the domestic abuse Nicole suffered, and it seems she is relieved to finally tell Nicole's side of the story in her memoir.

Kim Kardashian Tries On Many, Many Wedding Dresses

"We couldn't believe it. Not guilty!...," Kris writes, "'Wow, there is no justice for her,' I thought....We were all so devastated."

But ultimately, Kris knew O.J. would fall victim to another form of retribution. "I knew that, on some level, he would suffer for what I felt he did," Kris confesses. "I took some solace in that."

Simpson was later found liable in the deaths of Nicole and Ron Goldman in a civil lawsuit brought by their families. He was ordered to pay them millions but they saw only a few thousand dollars.

It was ironically a case involving his own sports memorabilia that finally put OJ behind bars.

O.J. is now in the Lovelock Correctional Center near Las Vegas. On December 5, 2008, he was sentenced to 33 years for several felony convictions including kidnapping, criminal conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon.

Robert Kardashian admitted in a 1996 interview that he had "doubts" about his friend's innocence. He died in 2003 without ever revealing more than that.

Jenner's memoir hits bookstores November 1.

Amanda and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito will be back in court Monday where they'll each have a chance to address the two judges and six jurors who will decide whether their murder convictions should be upheld, modified or completely overturned.

The two were convicted in 2009 of the brutal slaying of Meredith Kercher. She and Amanda were both exchange students in Perugia, and shared a small house when she was found murdered in 2007.

Police Reveal 'Bloody Handprint' Evidence In Aruba Mystery Disappearance Doesn't Exist

Posted on Aug 21, 2011 @ 06:00AM - 3 comments

A purported key piece evidence in the mysterious disappearance of missing American woman Robyn Gardner doesn't exist, police have revealed.

Blood was reportedly found on a rock near the restaurant not far from where Gardner and her traveling companion Gary Giordano were last seen together.

But Aruba Solicitor General Taco Stein said in an interview Saturday night: "The detail about the hand print and blood is not true."

"That is not something that we have found," the Solicitor General said, adding: "Let me put that to rest as that only hinders the investigation."

Speaking to Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News' Justice with Judge Jeanine, Stein also shed new light on the graphic photographs that authorities found on Giordano's camera, showing the missing Maryland woman in various sexual positions.

"I'm told there is no sign of duress at all (in the images)," General Stein told Judge Pirro.

One law enforcement source had described the images as "beyond pornographic," though General Stein stopped short of that description.

He said, "Those photos were explicit. That's all I have said and that is all I am going to say. I have not seen the pictures myself."

Giordano's camera along with his laptop and cell phone have been sent away for analysis.

Gardner, 35, has not been seen since August 2, when she was supposedly pulled out to sea by strong currents while snorkeling, as 50-year-old Giordano told police.

No body has been found and an island-wide search for Gardner has been scheduled for early this week.

Solicitor General Stein suggested law enforcement could still make a circumstantial evidence case against Giordano, even if a body is not found.

Yet he warned: "It makes it very difficult, but not impossible."

Giordano -- a twice divorced father-of-three -- has denied anything to do with Gardner's disappearance.

He's being held in an Aruban prison pending the investigation, with Stein saying authorities have found discrepancies in Giordano's story.

"His statements to police were that the water was rough, that there were waves, wind and a strong current, as he said," Stein said.

"That didn't work out with what police saw at the moment they came to the beach that evening.

"The sea was calm, there was no wind and we found out later that there was no current. That story didn't hold."

'He Threatened To Make Me Disappear': Mother Of Teen Model Reveals Aruba Suspect's Outburst

Posted on Aug 21, 2011 @ 02:00AM - 2 comments

By Radar Staff

Gary Giordano, the prime suspect in the mysterious disappearance of American woman Robyn Gardner in Aruba, threatened another woman that he could make her "disappear" without a trace after she rejected his proposition about her teen model daughter.

Carrie Emerson recounted her telephone conversation with Giordano, 50, who is being held over the disappearance of Gardner, in an interview with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News' Justice with Judge Jeanine Saturday night.

PHOTOS: Richard Forester And Robyn Gardner

Giordano called Emerson in late July after seeing photos of her daughter on the internet, the mother said.

He told her he was a producer and wanted to take her 18-year-old daughter, Taylor Tyler, to Aruba for a swimsuit photo shoot.

PHOTOS: Joran Van Der Sloot In Custody

"He made the offer sound so wonderful that anyone needing the money or the modeling job would have gone," said Emerson, who fielded the initial call on her daughter's behalf.

"Thankfully it was me who answered the phone and not her daughter."

PHOTOS: Celebs Who Have Done Jail Time

Suspicious about the offer, Emerson turned Giordano down at which point "he got very irate" she said.

"During the conversation, he told me that he could make me disappear and no one would ever look for me," the mother said.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS:  Joran Van Der Sloot's Bloody Clothing

In previous interviews, Emerson had claimed Giordano promised her that the planned Aruban trip was "not going to be another Natalee Holloway," referring to the Alabama teenager who disappeared on the island in 2005.

"He was very calm, relaxed and calculated, I guess I would put it," Emerson told Judge Pirro.

"He knew how to talk to a girl from the start, to make her feel comfortable. (But) I knew he was a scam artist.

Amanda Knox Appeal: Prosecutors Challenge DNA Experts

Posted on Jul 30, 2011 @ 01:52PM - 12 comments

By Radar Staff

Prosecutors in the Amanda Knox case challenged two forensic experts in court Saturday over their criticism of key DNA findings in the case.

University professors Stefano Conti and Carla Vecchiotti wrote a 145 page report after reviewing evidence use to convict Knox and Raffaele Sollecito, her former boyfriend, of murdering Amanda's housemate Meredith Kercher.

The experts were brought in by the court to re-examine the DNA evidence as part of the appeals process.

They said there was no physical evidence to support the original police findings that the knife thought to have been used to kill Kercher had traces of her blood on the blade.

The prosecution questioned the effects of time on their findings, asking if they would have made a similar conclusion if they had reviewed the evidence sooner after the crime was committed.

Vecchiotti admitted that they could not exclude the possibility that her DNA had in fact been found on the knife at the time but claimed that "on the basis of the tests we have done today there are no traces of DNA."

She also called into question the reliability of the original methods used to test for the DNA saying that the knife had not been handled properly and could have therefore been contaminated.
