Alec Baldwin had a run-in with a photographer after returning to his New York City apartment late Thursday afternoon and was restrained by police officers.

It was a chaotic end to a tumultuous day for the 30 Rock actor, who made headlines earlier when someone called 911 and he was taken to a hospital.
Initial reports claimed the actor threatened to take pills during a telephone argument and said, “I’m going to end this.” But the talented actor’s publicist strongly disputed that version and told RadarOnline.com: “This was a misunderstanding on one person's part. Alec was quickly released from the hosptial, he's completely fine and is at work today. “
And Baldwin did in fact go to work Thursday. When he came home more drama ensued.
A throng of media was waiting for Baldwin when he returned home at 5:15 p.m. An eyewitness told RadarOnline.com that a photographer from the New York Post asked Alec how he was and how his daughter Ireland was doing, and Baldwin went ballistic.

Earlier reports claim that Ireland is the one who called 911 and had Baldwin taken to a hospital.
After the photographer asked his question Thursday afternoon, Baldwin brushed past him and then yelled, “This guy assaulted me.” About 20 seconds later, four marked NYPD cars arrived, as Alec was in the lobby of his building.
“The police entered the lobby and Alec pointed out the photog,” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com. “Then, without any warning, Alec ran out of the lobby into the street, chased by police, and grabbed the jacket of the New York Post photographer – and the police had to restrain him and then brought Alec back inside.”

Alec then went up to his apartment and about 5:45 pm he came out of the building, got into a waiting car and sped away.
NYPD officers at the scene – from the 24th precinct. – said they took reports at the scene but had not determined if any charges would be filed.
In another bombshell development, an NYPD source told RadarOnline.com exclusively that Alec admitted to police he took “only one Ambien” pill during an argument with his daughter Ireland -- but his estranged ex-wife Kim Basinger told the youth to call 911 “in order to embarrass” the actor.

The NYPD source revealed: “Alec never threatened to overdose. He did admit to taking one Ambien sleeping pill – that’s all. Certainly nothing that would have required an emergency call. But Alec believes Ireland was put up to calling 911 because Kim put her up to it. Alec said that Kim told Ireland to do it so he would be embarrassed.
“Obviously, there’s no love lost between Kim and Alec.”

A drunk Davy Jones wasn’t monkeying around when he challenged an entire bar audience to fight him after giving an impromptu singing performance.
The ex lead singer of the Monkees was drunk, according to an eyewitness, when he had his public meltdown at the Edison Hotel bar in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on December 11.
Jones, 63, was with his new wife Jessica Pacheco, 32, when he surprised a crowd of about 30 by showing up with his band to sing at the bar, which is near his home.

But it quickly turned into a bizarre scene as Davy, holding a drink, began singing while looking like he was going to keel over, according to eyewitnesses.
He stopped his performance for no apparent reason, mid-song and began cursing the audience! One person who was there said, Davy wandered into the crowd and said, “F*** you. You look half dead. I’ll fight you outside you f****”
Incredibly, the band kept playing!
Davy Slams Ex- Monkees
His wife, who had cheered him earlier, tried to take the microphone away from him and Davy ended up throwing it across the room.
Davy still tours and in recent years has harshly criticizd former Monkee bandmates Peter Tork, Mickey Dolenz and Mike Nesmith.
Oh, and for the record, he was in the middle of Daydream Believer when he lost it!

Art Garfunkel throws one helluva temper tantrum. If you catch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concert airing on TV later this month, you'll see Garfunkel and Paul Simon, swaying arm in arm, belting out some of their biggest hits from the Madison Square Garden stage.
But you wont see his ridiculous backstage meltdown, which occurred during the concert on October 29th, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Walking through the corridors of MSG, Garfunkel asked a show staffer for a tissue for his nose. "The staffer explained that they were late getting Art to the his holding room, but there was a bathroom on the way and he could stop in and grab one," a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

But that wasn't good enough for the Grammy winner. "He literally stopped walking and refused to go another step until he got a tissue," the source said. "He was behaving like such a child. He was very agitated and angry. And this is a guy who's been busted for marijuana possession! Shouldn't he be calmer?" our spy laughed.
The staffer tried to pacify the musical icon by grabbing some paper towel off another passing worker. No dice.
"I said a tissue," Garfunkel yelled at her, throwing it back in her direction. "Not paper towel! I don't want this." Finally, another staffer was sent sprinting to get Garfunkel his coveted tissue and he resumed walking.
The concert will air on HBO November 29th and will also feature Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and more. And if you see Garfunkel on the streets in the meantime, toss him some Kleenex!
