Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey has been hospitalized after experiencing problems breathing, RadarOnline.com has confirmed. The Republican, 48, was taken to the Somerset Medical Center by his security detail after Christie experienced trouble breathing.

Christie's deputy chief of staff, Maria Cornella told the Associated Press that Christie is "fine and in charge," and that he was taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. Christie suffers from asthma, but according to tests conducted so far, the very popular governor will be fine.

A woman believed to be the wife of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall called 911 after she allegedly stabbed the NFL star, repeating to the operator as her voice quivered: “Please come, it’s an emergency!”

Michi Nogami-Marshall, 26, hung up the phone before telling the emergency operator where she was calling from. The operator tried to get the caller back on the line but no one picked up.
