Howard K. Stern was caught in a bathroom burning a pill over a spoon in order to inject Anna Nicole Smith, according to her former bodyguard.
Maurice Brighthaupt took the witness stand in the case again Stern and two other doctors and revealed how he saw him inject his client on a number of occasions.
And he even saw Smith gulping Chloral Hydrate - one of the substance which killed her - straight from the bottle.

"I saw him inject Anna maybe four or five times," Brighthaupt told the courtroom in Downtown Los Angeles.
"I saw her trying to give herself an injection too."
On one occassion in the Bahamas in 2006 just after her son died, Brighthaupt claims he walked in on Stern preparing to inject Smith.
"There was a burned spoon," he told Judge Robert J Perry. "Anna was in the bedroom. When I walked in it was in the middle of being burned. "I saw him drawing up liquid from the spoon, it being cooked. I saw, lighter, spoon, heat, liquid, withdrawl."
He also admitted it was in pill form before being burned and claimed Stern told him he was doing it this way because Smith could not swallow the tablets and it would be "ingested quicker" directly into the blood stream.

Brighthaupt said he knew Smith was taking Chloral Hydrate but that the way she was administering it became out of control.
He also claimed when he went to see her in the Bahamas in 2006 following the death of her son, Daniel, she was swigging the medication straight from the bottle.
"At the beginning she would use a spoon," he told the court. "I saw her use a spoon maybe twice. Then it was bottle to mouth. A gulp."
He also revealed how Smith had deteriorated into a state of depression in the Bahamas.

"She was somber. She was sick. She was out if it," he admitted. "She spent a lot of time sleeping. She had just lost her son and she was in mourning. So she was always in bed."
During the testimony, Stern shook his head and bit his fingernails while taking notes.
The other two doctors, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristina Eroshevich - who are also accused of administering drugs to an addict - looked directly ahead at the witness stand.
As Stern left the courthouse he was asked what he thought about the witnesses statements to which he simply replied, "Just wait."
The preliminary hearing will continue tomorrow when Larry Birkhead is expected to take the stand.

Anna Nicole Smith was high on Ecstasy when she gave her famous AMA awards speech.
Smith's former bodyguard, Maurice Brighthaupt took the witness stand Wednesday and revealed shocking details about her drug abuse.
Brighthaupt - who is also a firefighter and paramedic - admitted he tried on several occassions to stop Smith from drinking and taking drugs.

But on the night of the famed American Music Awards in 2004 he witnessed her taking an illegal substance.
"Did you see her take medication at the hotel before the awards?" asked Judge Robert J Perry. "Yes," he answered.
When asked what she took and whether it was pills or liquid Brighthaupt revealed; "Pills. I've seen her take medications and others that weren't medication. At the awards show she took Ecstasy."

Brighthaupt, who Smith nicknamed 'Mo Mo', also revealed how he attempted to curb her drinking habits.
"Before she went on stage she was backstage. She was drinking a little champagne," he told the courtroom, where Smith's ex, Howard Stern, was sat.

"She had started drinking champagne in the room back at the hotel. But after she had taken a sip I would take it away and throw it out."
When asked why he did this, he said; "I didn't want her to make a fool of herself. But someone always gave her another glass or bottle. A lot of the time it was Larry Birkhead giving her a drink."

It's another day, another claim against the Michael Jackson estate.
William Bone is suing the Jackson estate for an undisclosed amount over the proposed sale of a Santa Barbara property known as the Sycamore Valley Ranch.

Bone claims Jackson wished to buy the property from him but they could not agree on fair market value therefore to consummate the deal an agreement of purchase was entered into on or about February 27th 1988.

Meaning, Bone accepted a lower selling price than he thought the property was worth with the agreement that when the property was resold Jackson would split the profits with him.
Another stipulation of the agreement was that Jackson would maintain the property and carry out improvements as needed, something Bone believes has not happened.

Bone claims that Jackson transferred ownership of the property to Sycamore Valley Ranch Company on November 10, 2008 and that he was not informed. He now asks that he receive his share of the profits when the property is sold, as he believes will happen.

Two defendants, Pleasant Bridgewater and Tarino Lightbourne, stand accused of trying to extort $25million from John Travolta following his son Jett’s death on the Island back in January.

During cross examination Bridgewater’s attorney Murrio Ducille accused Travolta’s attorney and close friend, Michael McDermott, of being the person that actually hatched the extortion plot. McDermott hotly denied the accusation.

The judge in the Michael Jackson estate case has ruled that lawyers John Branca and John McClain will remain as the special administrators for his estate until January, 4, 2010.
He also gave them general powers, which Michael’s mother Katherine opposed.

Basically, this means that the lawyers can fight the creditors claims that have been filed against Michael Jackson’s estate.
At a hearing Friday concerning Michael’s three children, who have stayed with their grandmother, Katherine, in the wake of the Thriller singer's death, the judge also ruled that the custody arrangement will remain the same.

Katherine was appointed permanent guardian of her son's three children August 3. During the hearing Judge Mitchell Beckloff received a report about the children and said, "children doing wonderfully. Was excellent report, they are settling in with their grandmother."
In related news, surprise details from Jackson's autopsy report surfaced Thursday, stating that the Thriller singer was in relatively good health for a 50-year-old man and that no illegal drugs were detected in his system. The info could be used by prosecutors and if they decide to charge Jackson's live-in doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, in connection with Jackson's death.

More results from the Michael Jackson autopsy have been made public and it reveals that Michael Jackson was in fact in fairly good health for a 50-year-old man at the time of his death last June.
Michael Jackson's former doctor says he has evidence to put people in prison
The autopsy report obtained by the Associated Press shows Jackson had some health issues such as arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers, mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries and his lungs were chronically inflamed and had reduced capacity which may have left him short of breath, but none were serious enough to contribute to his death.
Jackson weighed 136 lbs, which for a 5'9" man is an acceptable weight, and his heart was strong and his kidneys and most other organs were normal.

The only substances found in his body were propofol and sedatives, a local anesthetic and ephedrine, a resuscitation stimulant. No other drugs, either prescribed or illegal were found in his body, nor was any traces of alcohol.

There were signs of his many plastic surgeries evident on his body including a 3/4 inch scar behind his left ear and an apparent scar behind his right ear, a scar either side of his nostrils, a pair of scars about 3 inches long at the base of his neck and smaller scars on his arms and wrist. In addition he had a 2 inch scar on the right-hand side of his abdomen and a small scar near his naval.
Jackson had dark tattoos around his eyes and on his eyebrows and a pink tattoo around his mouth. He also had tattooing on the front of his scalp, possibly to cover balding.

The results do not help the case of Dr. Conrad Murray, who is the target of a LAPD manslaughter investigation. One possible defense for Murray was that Jackson hid serious pre-existing conditions from him that increased the risks from the drugs he willingly took, the autopsy has quashed this.
Murray has not spoken publicly since Jackson's death, with the exception of a brief You Tube video where he claims, "I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail."

John Travolta took the stand once again on Wednesday in the Bahamas to give testimony in the case against two defendants accused of trying to extort $25 million from the actor following the death of his son Jett in January.
John says Jett was autistic
In his testimony Travolta said that he was told that if he didn¹t pay $25million the extortionists would release stories implying that John was in some way to blame for his son Jett's death, that he was connected in some way.
Travolta explained that he never spoke to either of the defendants about the alleged extortion and that the information that there was a threat was relayed to him through his employee Ronald Zupancic.

Travolta looked shaken as he spoke and was asked at one point to speak up as he was talking too quietly.
Both defendants have pleaded not guilty
Travolta has now been released from the stand, his wife Kelly Preston quickly took his hand to comfort him as he stood down.
