Lexy is a free new consumer entertainment service launched this week, which enables callers or online users the ability to hear short, up-to-the-minute audio clips in genres such as news, comedy, sports and weather reports.
Users can personalized their own playlists, and can opt to receive text message alerts when their favorite audio clips, known as Lexycasts, are uploaded to the site.
Even better about Lexy is what you don't have to do: no downloads, no syncing, just dialing.

Nicole Richie, who welcomed her second child, son Sparrow, into the world last month, said she "couldn't be happier" with her life as a mother-of-two.

"The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are," Richie, 28, told People. "I'm right where I belong."
Richie also has a daughter, 21-month-old Harlow, with her boyfriend, 30-year-old Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden.

Any fan of Adidas or British rockers The Ting Tings should be in the loop on this: The band's event this past weekend had which attendees wearing tracksuits while dancing and painting the walls -- and themselves -- with bright neon paint.
Bits and pieces from the neon-soaked evening will be recycled into collectible album covers for The Ting Tings' upcoming single, Great DJ, which hits airwaves later this month.
And the tracksuits Adidas Originals store are on display at 8009 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California.

A midsummer incident in which actress Mischa Barton was placed under an involuntarily psychiatric hold was "blown out of proportion," Barton told the ladies of The View on Friday.

Barton said, in a husky tone, that she was "overwhelmed" after a botched operation in which she had four wisdom teeth pulled left her in "excruciating pain." She said the "chronic pain" associated with her poorly-repaired mouth led to treatments including painkillers and at one point, a daily dosage of Novocain. She said that subsequent miscommunication with hospital staffers, as she was suffering from the pain, led to the psychiatric hold.
Barton carried herself with an air on confidence to the concerned panel, telling them: "I'm such a positive person."
The actress was checked into Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Medical Center under the involuntarily psychiatric hold July 15 for medical issues; she has a history of substance abuse, having a drunk driving arrest and rehab stint under her belt in the past two years.
The Beautiful Life is slated to premiere September 16 at 9/8c on the CW.
