David Hasselhoff is under an involuntary psychiatric hold in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

He was picked up under the California Welfare and Institutions Code 5150 that allows authorities to take into custody persons they believe may be a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder. Cedars-Sinai doctors agreed he needed to be admitted, and under Code 5151, hold him for up to 72 hours for a psychiatric evaluation.
Hasselhoff Rushed to Hospital With Alcohol Poisoning
Hasselhoff has been battling alcoholism for years and has been hospitalized at least five times with alcohol poisoning.
He returned from Canada on Wednesday and saw a doctor. He had been drinking before that and also resumed drinking afterward. His several-day booze bender resulted in a seizure and transport to the hospital via ambulance Friday.

After much speculation after she recently checked in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital, Nicole Richie announced on Wednesday that she gave birth to a son.
“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009 Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden,” her official website said. “He weighs 7lbs 14oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”

UPDATE: RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Flynt left the hospital on Tuesday afternoon flanked by bodyguards.
Larry Flynt was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and his spokesman said that it's the Hustler head's medical history that is the underlying issue. "He is doing well but is being kept in out of an abundance of caution," Owen Moogan told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "He has a complex medical history."
Flynt is paralyzed from the waist down as a result of a 1978 assassination attempt. RadarOnline.com broke the story of the porn publisher's hospitalization following his June 20 emergency room admission.
