The big question Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards was how would Lady Gaga open the show?
Of course, we now know how she did it -- dressed in drag as her male alter-ego Joe Calderone!
Prior to the start of the show, RadarOnline.com was on the black carpet asking the stars for their predictions about Gaga’s opening number – and Pete Wentz nailed it. The Fall Out Boy front man told our Candace Smith that
he didn’t want Gaga to die on stage like she did last year and added that if she showed up as her alter ego that would be “a big deal”.

Since the Do Something Awards are all about people reaching out to help others, RadarOnline.com hit the red carpet at the show’s taping in Hollywood Sunday and asked the stars who reached out to them and helped them get their big break.
Surprisingly, a member of Foster the People told our Candace Smith that he owes his success to Bill Cosby who called his house one day to speak to his mother and encouraged him to stay in school and get an education so he didn’t end up picking up somebody else’s garbage.

The 2011 Do Something Awards were taped Sunday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and RadarOnline.com hit the red carpet.
