Bill Gates is no longer the world's richest man in the world!
The Microsoft tycoon was edged out of the top spot of a new Forbes list top detailing the world’s richest people by Mexican telecommunications businessman Carlos Slim, who has an estimated $500 million more than Gates.
Gates, who held the title for 16 years, actually had a very profitable 2009, collecting another $13 billion after Microsoft shares rose about 50 percent.

Don't be surprised to see Spiderman weaving his webs through Space Mountain in the near future: The Walt Disney Company has acquired Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4 billion in cash and stocks, both companies said Monday.
The deal means popular Marvel characters, such as Spiderman, Iron Man, The X-Men, Captain America, The Fantastic Four and Thor will now be handled by Disney.
Ike Perlmutter, Marvel's chief executive officer, said the deal opens countless doors for merchandising money.
"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel's fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses," he said.

Looks like Beyonce is recession-proof.
The triple-threat announced today, in conjunction with her partner and mom Tina Knowles, that her design label House of Dereon will launch a collection of daywear for the fall.
"Beyonce and I have had several occasions where we are in meetings all day and don¹t have time to run and change by dinner. This is the perfect collection to wear from the office to dinner because every piece can easily
be dressed up or dressed down," Tina told WWD.
Price points on the office frocks will range between $100-$200.
Dereon already has a signature collection, junior line, evening wear and accessories.
