Unfortunately for Pippa Middleton, there's no Labor Day holiday in the U.K and so she had to head back to work on Monday morning.

The 27-year-old was spotted getting back to business in a black tailored mini dress and blazer which she paired with black flats.

Pippa works for her parents events company, Party Pieces, where she edits the company newsletter Party Times.

She also headed out for lunch with a male friend. The pair dined at Carluccio's, an Italian eatery in London's Covent Garden area.

Tomorrow the socialite turns 28 so no doubt, as a former party planner herself, there will be something fabulous scheduled.

Meanwhile, Pippa's sister Kate, The Duchess of Cambridge, is helping to break records for the number of people visiting Buckingham Palace this year, after her wedding dress by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen was put on display there.

Hugo Bernard got the prized commission to shoot the formal photographs immediately after the wedding at Westminster Abbey.

Custom designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, the gorgeous white dress with a sparkling belt and furry wrap will be her party frock for the night. Kate wore her burnette locks long and flowing, without the Cartier tiara she wore for her wedding ceremony.

Burton said designing the dress for the new Duchess of Cambridge was “the experience of a lifetime.”
