Russell Brand is back to his old tricks. Hosting the MTV Video Music Awards for the second year in a row, the British comedian attempts to seduce Britney Spears in a the funny new promotional video.

In the commercial, Spears- looking radiant in a tiny, white bikini- reads a magazine article about Brand’s hosting gig. Brand realizes he can read the pop singer’s thoughts and sends out his own mental message.
