Gabriela Cedillo, the young woman injured on the set of Transformers 3, is still in the hospital and although no public statements have been made regarding the accident, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the production company is footing the cost of her medical bills.

The 24-year-old is said to be in stable condition and showing small signs of improvement, but she is still unable to speak or eat on her own.

Todd Smith, a representative for Cedillo, told RadarOnline.com she is still in the ICU at Loyola Medical Center in the Chicago suburb of Maywood and is somewhat responsive.

The woman injured on set of Transformers 3 last night underwent emergency brain surgery, Radaronline.com has learned exclusively.

Gabriella Cedillo was rushed to hospital after a stunt went horribly wrong during shooting in Chicago. Now further details have emerged about her condition.

The woman injured on set of Transformers 3 last night underwent emergency brain surgery, Radaronline.com has learned exclusively.

Gabriella Cedillo was rushed to hospital after a stunt went horribly wrong during shooting in Chicago. Now further details have emerged about her condition.

"She had to have brain surgery last night after the accident happened," confirmed a source who works on the set. "We don't know how she is doing now, we’re waiting to hear."

Filming has been shut down on the set, just one day before it was supposed to be completed.

Transformers Star Rachael Taylor Says Boyfriend Bashed Her

The 24-year-old extra is not a stuntwoman and was in her own car when the accident happened on Wednesday night.

"The vehicle was being towed by another vehicle," fellow extra Blaine Baker told Chicago station WLS. "The cable between the two vehicles broke. It whipped around and sliced through the woman's car and sliced through her skull, apparently."

He added that the car was then dragged along a center divider for about half a mile, "grinding the side of the car off."

Police confirmed the incident and issued the following statement:

"Preliminary investigation revealed that shortly before 7 pm, the movie crew was filming a stunt using numerous vehicles and drivers. During this stunt, an object struck a 2006 Toyota, hitting the vehicle, and then went through the windshield hitting the driver."

Cedillo was airlifted to Loyola hospital in Indiana where she was taken into the operating theater.

The victim's neighbor has spoken out about the aspiring actress, calling her 'quiet and personable.'

"She's not outspoken. She doesn't have to be seen in the neighborhood and she goes about her business," Nate Smith told WLS about his neighbor of 20-years.

Paramount Pictures has not yet released a statement and numerous calls to them have not been returned.
