This past summer, Virgin Mobile and Kyocera partnered up on a homeless charity event called All Access, where young filmmakers between the ages of 16 and 22 were given a peek behind the curtain at the star-studded Virgin Mobile FreeFest.
The contestants were awarded a chance to film rockumentaries with world famous acts such as Public Enemy, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Taking Back Sunday and Blink 182, among others.
“It is important to support opportunities like Kyocera's All Access that empower young people,” Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav told RadarOnline.com. “The youth of the nation are talented and bring unique voices and unique perspectives. This project will help America recognize that."
Now, a series of six previews, culled from the filmmakers' footage, will be aired every Tuesday evening each week through Dec. 14 on the Independent Film Channel, as well as billboard.com and heavy.com.
“The 14 filmmakers who created All Access were chosen from thousands of applicants because of their passion and artistic vision, both of which shine through in this documentary,” Kyocera's Tom Maguire told RadarOnline.com. “We’re grateful that IFC is supporting these young artists by bringing their work to millions of people, and proud that the film’s first full-length screening will be to benefit homeless youth.”
The film’s first full-length screening is slated for Nov. 18 in Washington, D.C. at the George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium, to benefit Sasha Bruce House, a non-profit homeless shelter in the area.

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's Thursday memorial at The Hollywood Palladium was fashioned after a 12-step meeting, drawing a notable pair of celebrities -- Robert Downey Jr. and Lindsay Lohan -- whose substance abuse issues have been well-documented.
Attendees were free to participate in the 12-step process, and able to speak with anonymity, due to the nature of the meeting; the 36-year-old Goldstein, a recovering crack cocaine addict during his 20s, was working on a reality show to help others with their addictions before his Aug. 28 death in Manhattan, New York.

Ongoing plans for a limited edition Nike shoe line, with Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's logo branded on it, have been suspended in the wake of the 36-year-old's Aug. 28. death in Manhattan, New York.
Nike reps said a design had been completed, and approved by Goldstein before he died; they are in talks with his family to determine the next step in terms of marketing the product.
The talented Goldstein collected Nikes at an Imelda Marcos-like pace, amassing more than 700 pairs of the company's shoes.

Nine OxyContin tablets were found in the body of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, leading officials to question whether the troubled celebrity disc jockey overdosed or committed suicide.
Eight of the nine pills were undigested, an indicator Goldstein swallowed the unusually high amount quickly, a source told People.
"He wanted to die," the source said. "He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it."
In addition to the pills, a mirror was barricading his door when authorities tried to enter, and a crack cocaine pipe was also found next to his corpse.
Goldstein, according to the source, "smoked a lot of crack, barricaded the doors and killed himself."
Goldstein was found dead in in his Manhattan apartment Friday, August 28. He was 36.
Goldstein's death comes less than a year after he barely survived a plane crash with his friend and musical collaborator Travis Barker, the drummer for Blink-182.
Four people were killed when the plane skidded off a South Carolina runway. Goldstein suffered severe burns and in the weeks and months that followed, was said to have suffered depression.
A private memorial for Goldstein will be held Thursday evening in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium, People also reports.
The memorial will be in the style of a 12-step meeting in homage to Goldstein's very public battle with addiction. According to the invite: "The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting. Adam's friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life are welcome. We ask only that everyone adhere to the tradition of anonymity and let what they hear there, and who they see there, stay there."

The ALL Access sweepstakes gives young fans the access and resources to film the backstage comings and goings of bands such as Weezer, Blink 182, Franz Ferdinand, Public Enemy and others for a rock documentary.
Sound cool? (Yes, this is a rhetorical question.)
The contest, sponsored by Kyocera Wireless and Virgin Mobile, will select 14 entrants between the ages of 16-22 and grant them behind-the-scenes access -- from backstage, to the tour bus to the mosh pit -- at the Virgin MobileFreeFest music festival. The event takes place August 30 at Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
The winners will be divided into four groups and paired with a professional producer and director, before heading into the trenches to make their rockumentary.

Here comes a must-have for Blink 182 fans -- especially ones with wall space in their homes, office or (we cringe while saying this) man caves.
The band, as a promotion for their upcoming summer 2009 tour, have released a special limited edition silk screened poster, designed by Artist Maxx242. The posters will only be available at the band's shows, officials said, with only 30 for sale at each venue.
Exclusive: Boozing With The Stars at T-Mobile Party!

Blink 182 reunited Thursday night at the T-Mobile party at Paramount Studios - playing together for the first time in more than four years. And while that three-song show was cool enough, there was plenty of action in the audience, which was packed with celebrities..
Click here to check out photos from the party!
As entertaining as the music was, RadarOnline.com couldn't help but notice when Lauren Conrad, after downing two vodka-based drinks at the bar, After ordering another drink and walking away from the bar she tripped (apparently over some wires) and hit the deck in front of everyone (including RadarOnline.com, of course). Poor LC! She looked completely embarrassed as she got up but quickly got over it and chugged another drink!
Kevin Spacey was a lot more low key, wearing a baseball cap and hanging with some male buds. He arrived early and told everyone he came to see Weezer perform. Chain-smoking, Kevin clearly didn't want to be bothered because as several girls tried to approach him, his pals made them go away.
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz arrived together and looked like they were having fun. By the end of the night they were partying at separate couches but we read nothing into that!
And yes Pink and Carey Hart are back together - they showed up holding hands. Looks like they really do love each other again as they were making out on a couch in front of all partygoers.
Zachary Quinto beamed in to the party and sat in the roped-off VIP section. The "Star Trek" movie star had his buds go get him some food. Must be nice to be starring in the No. 1 movie in the country!
Anna Faris was also hungry! As soon as she walked in she headed straight to one of the servers who was holding a tray of mini cheeseburgers. Anna said she was "sstarving" and grabbed four of the little burgers and scarfed them down. Then she found some fried macaroni and cheese balls and tore into them, laughing the whole time. Wow, the girl can eat like that and still look great! So un-Hollywood!
EXCLUSIVE: Shanna Moakler on Travis: "We Love Each Other So Passionately"
Posted on Apr 03, 2009 @ 03:00PM - Add a comment

Shanna Moakler, in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com Thursday, said that her on-again, off-again romance with ex-husband Travis Barker attracts attention because it is a common challenge people in relationships can relate to.
"The nature of Travis and I's relationship is unorthodox, but it's because we love each so passionately, I think the interest lies in the fact so many people can relate, they may not have the spotlight on them, but everyone goes thru the same challenges," the former Miss USA told RadarOnline.com.
