As we prepare to ring in a new year, RadarOnline.com takes a look back at the celebrities we lost in 2011 who made their memorable mark on the world.

Apple founder Steve Jobs died at 56 on October 5 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. The tech guru leaves a vast legacy in his industry over the better part of four decades, listed as the inventor of household items such as iPod, iPhone and iPad, among others. He was also the driving force behind companies like Pixar and Atari.

Legendary newsman Andy Rooney died November 4, just weeks after his 1097th and final weekly segment on the CBS stalwart 60 Minutes, capping off a 33-year run.

As dignitaries from around the country gather to say goodbye to a beloved First Lady, the funeral motorcade arrived at the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert, Calif. Tuesday afternoon.

Betty Ford passed away Friday at 93.

First Lady Michelle Obama will be attending the funeral, along with former First Ladies Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Nancy Reagan and Rosalyn Carter.  Former President George W. Bush will attend but his wife Laura will not be present.  Bill Clinton was unable to attend at the last minute due to mechanical problems with his plane.

Those attending include: First Lady Michelle Obama; former U.S. president George W. Bush; Kennedy family member/former California first lady Maria Shriver; three ex-first ladies -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Nancy Reagan and Rosalynn Carter. (Former first lady Laura Bush is not able to attend, but sent her condolences through her husband, while Barbara Bush will attend a separate service slated for later this week.)  Bill Clinton was unable to make the trip due to mechanical problems with his plane.

First Lady Michelle Obama, and a list that reads like a who's who of American politics, will be front-and-center at Palm Desert, California's St. Margaret's Episcopal Church for Tuesday's funeral service for former first lady Betty Ford, who died at 93 on Friday.

Along with Mrs. Obama, former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, as well as three ex-first ladies -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Nancy Reagan and Rosalynn Carter -- will be on hand in memory of Ford, who's legacy is primarily defined by the non-profit drug and alcohol treatment center she founded that bears her name. First Lady Michelle Obama will travel to Palm Desert, California, to attend the funeral of former First Lady Betty Ford, the White House announced on Monday.

The service will take place on Tuesday, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will also attend, along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Betty Ford -- the free spirited, former First Lady who bravely went public with her own drug and alcohol addictions to help others -- has died at the age of 93, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Betty Ford -- the free spirited, former First Lady who bravely went public with her own drug and alcohol addictions to help others -- has died at the age of 93, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Mrs. Ford -- who was married to late President Gerald Ford for 58 years -- passed away Friday at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California with her family at her side.  No other details of her death are being released at this time.

"Mother's love, candor, devotion, and laughter enriched our lives and the lives of the millions she touched throughout this great nation," her family said in a statement released late Friday. "To be in her presence was to know the warmth of a truly great lady."

Lindsay Lohan is heard arguing, screaming and even grappling with Betty Ford worker Dawn Holland during the dramatic 911 call obtained by RadarOnline.com.

The incident occurred on December 12, 2010 when Holland accused an "out of control" Lohan of throwing a phone at her after being caught allegedly drinking and violating curfew - which lead the Palm Desert Police Department to investigate the 24-year-old for breaching her probation.

"I'm sorry...I'm really uncomfortable with the woman that's in our house. I've never seen her before and she's freaking us out," Lohan is heard telling the 911 operator.

Holland is then heard on the phone telling the officer she wants to speak with him but only if Lohan gets off the phone.

Dina, upon herself learning that charges will not be filed against Lindsay, told RadarOnline.com Tuesday night: "I have known all along my daughter was innocent."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, officials with the Riverside County District Attorney told us they were not filing charges "due to insufficient evidence" to prosecute Lindsay, 24, in the alleged December 12, 2010 altercation with staffer Dawn Holland at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California.
